Asylum [6.5/10]

Permission / metadata good
Offset good

- 21.620 - 52.787: I know you're following the guitar with these jacks, but there are drums playing on only half of them that completely mask the guitar sound. It makes the jacks/anchors seem unwarranted and the entire section feels a bit strange to play as a result. This is especially noticeable on the 4-note anchors at 21.620 etc.
- 69.134: Lower pitch than the previous 48th
- 93.453: This pattern is pretty satisfying to play, but I think you could vary it up. The chart is long and repetitive as is.
- 122.800: I don't think the 48th jumps in this section are placed accurately enough. This jump for example should be closer to 122.772

- 128.133 - 138.299: These notes are all slightly offsync, I suggest turning the wavefilter on and moving them slightly. I'm also not entirely sure why these are white notes in the first place.

- 184.119 - 208.120: This is very satisfying to play, great section.

- 210.953: Kinda agreeing with the singer here, file could use a cut :P
- 217.633: Why these cyan notes? I'm fine with colors representing things, but I can't discern what this is representing.
- 229.620: Pretty noticeable missing note.
- 247.800: This jump shouldn't be white since it's not part of the sentence.

File is pretty bland in alot of sections and I think it goes on for a little too long. There's a lot of repetition in here that I think could be cut out. The best sections in this chart are the sections focusing on the drums in my opinion and unfortunately for a large portion of this the drums are ignored; this is especially noticeable in the section starting at 21.620 (and the repeats) due to you focusing purely on the guitar when the drums are so prevalent. I feel with a cut this would at least be a light accept, but as it stands I don't think alot of players would enjoy this due to length and repetition.

Score is not final, second judge will update the song status with the final rating.

-[00:42.453] Likely don’t need to drop the 8th here/can reel it back from being processed as a jump since 64ths are close enough to it.

-[01:37.953 / 01:43.286 / etc.] One part I feel that could improve the overall structure is treating these 4-note 8ths as jumps like you did in the final part of the file. You’re already using jumps to all vocals here, these are the only ones consistently absent. Might need to change entry/exit out of the pattern to account for all of them being jumps though.

-[01:59.786] This particular 64th is a jump, but the other iterations are not?

-Note there are a fair bit of 48th flam notes in this file that could add to the reading difficulty since they are deliberately a 48th apart from their counterpart note. If you’re wanting these to play closer to jumps rather than unintended flams, suggest giving the new Re-colorizer a try, it’s pinned in #simfiles.

-[02:18.453] Makes sense.

-[02:31.953] Awkward pattern repeat from the previous triplet at 02:30.619 when the general structure is that they’re always different.

-[02:41.953] Note from 01:37.953 applies here as well, etc. throughout the file.

-[03:33.120] PR to a different column (compared to previous down arrows).

-[03:43.787] Repeat of the above note. ^

-Plays fine, a little dull/repetitive, but that’s the nature with standardised rock songs over 4 minutes nowadays. Colour is a bit egregious. In parts that utilise only colour (no flams/other regular-colored notes, etc.) could use some re-syncing so that they are properly on-sync. That is probably the largest thing that sticks out that can really use a fix.
