Battle Against a True Hero (Mipha) [4.5/10]
> Permission check good.
> Sync is off by -0.032 (Currently +1.490, should be +1.458). This will require a fix before acceptance. Notes for this judgment will be based on the correct sync.
> ‘Artist’ tag should be ‘Toby Fox’, rather than ‘toby fox’. It’s a name, and should be capitalised.
> No issues found within submission folder contents.
-[00:47.842 / 00:48.042] Missing 16ths. These repeat elsewhere in the file and should also be cleaned up. They follow the bass.
-[00:49.642] Missing 16th, 00:50.142 = Ghost 4th, 00:50.542 = Ghost jump 4th. You’re trying to follow the bass jump-wise from the previous section, and it’s colliding with the structural layering of the synth established in this section. Should pick either one or the other, not both. This issue continues for the rest of the 16th stream section, and creates a lot of missing 16ths & ghost notes.
-[01:37.742 / 01:42.542 / etc.] Check Pitch Relevance. Also, should probably utilize the right arrow column a fair bit more in this section, as the current use leaves it quite lop-sided.
-[01:56.542, 01:59.742, 02:00.842, 02:06.142, etc.] You have some really bad audio glitching on the mp3 part of this file. At a minimum, this is CQ to get a better quality mp3.
-Not entirely sure of the layering structure in regards to the 16ths in the final section using hands. They appear to be used/not used at will, and not really seeing a correlation here. Suggest making it much less confusing to follow by implementing a pattern of usage, like every other 16th (used for a brief moment at 02:13.142) since 16ths are continuous in this section and that doesn’t appear to be the plan.
-File needs quite a bit of structural work and a new mp3.

Battle Against a True Hero (Mipha) [5.5/10]
>Permission good (Blanket)
>Sync is early. Adjust offset to -0.142. Notes in this review will use this offset.
>Folder contents, metadata good
>Highly noticeable audio clipping starting around 1m55s. This is not present in YouTube/Spotify versions of this song. If you resubmit this file, you will need better quality audio. This also needed about a -7 dB gain adjustment in Audacity to prevent peaking (get to proper audio levels), but the clipping is not fixable. Might need a different source. (To be clear, the file’s rating is not due to this audio problem but the chart)
46.642/47.842/48.042/… - debatably missing, and there are many more like this when this repeats
50.142/56.542/… - ghost, same as last note, many repeats
In general, brush over the section 44.942-about 96.142 for the 16th rhythms. The errors are similar to the above notes so I won’t list them all out. Additionally, the layering (jump use) in this section is pretty random. Appears to be trying to copy the (great!) structure of the previous section but falls pretty flat as the piano-y thing dies out in this section.
115.442 - from here to the end, there doesn’t appear to be a consistent way in which the 16th notes are placed. The song has many more 16th drum notes here than are in the file. Emphasis was clearly placed on the chordjack elements here rather than rhythmic accuracy, leading to this section feeling very off when played. You can definitely have both here - even if you have to nerf the chordjack element a bit to accommodate it - and the file will be better off for it.
It’s a no from me in its current state. Generally needs better rhythm clarity from 46.642 through to the end, though I do like the general structure ideas here and could see this in the game with fixes.
