FFR Awards, Part II: The Results
* De-Sticky the voting thread please.
* Sticky this please. Hello everyone and welcome to the FFR Awards 2006, Part II: The Results. Before we get into who won what I would like to give a couple of my own thanks. Thanks to Guido / Selenica / Sertman / Mead / Doug / Manti / Nforcer. You guys all sent in your PM’s to me for the results, the rest of the committee did nothing, much like myself, so without you guys these results would not even be getting posted up today. Thanks also have to go to Tibs, he went around the forums finding all the relevant threads and pictures that I needed to make this thread. It saved me time and also allowed me to be lazy some more. So cheers mate. If you don’t want to read this version then go on to the bottom of the page, all the results are there in list form. Anyway, on to the tl;dr version. We start off with the GENERAL category, these awards go to people who are the best in each category. Starting off we have those people who make entering FFR an easier and more enjoyable experience, that or they drive us off with their flaming and incessant talk of Japanese RPG’s. Two people fit this. Winning the awards for Friendliest Poster and Most Helpful Poster, MrESqueek. Winning the awards for Least Friendly Poster and Least Helpful Poster is Moogy. Congratulations. Moving on we have a person who overshadows us all when it comes to posting in large quantities. This man has an impressive 11.23 posts per day, as well as having a total of 14,064 posts and wins the award for Biggest Postwhore. Come on up, Tasselfoot. Moving on we have the Most Random Poster award. This is awarded to a man who posts everything from random CGI cartoons to anything your mind can fathom. He even gives out his own points as marks of respect. This award was meant for Omeganitros Z3ratul is the least noticed poster winner. I don’t actually know much about him or his posts, sorry. Every day FFR gets flooded with new people. They come in two categories, “n00bs” to which the worst are present and “newbs” to whom we nurture into productive posting members. Winning Best Newbie is Selinica, a woman who recently celebrated her one year anniversary at FFR but who has only been posting in the last couple of months or so. Well done. Worst Newbie was a tie, but This_n00b_rocks got banned, so I proudly present this award to AeonShadow. You most definitely earned it. On to what a lot of people will be interested in. Sexiest Male and Sexiest Female. These awards are presented to Jewpin and Stretchypanda. Just take a look at how hot and sexy they truly can be: Irish Charmer. **** Goes Where? That concludes the GENERAL part of the awards ceremony. We move now to the FORUM section. These awards are given to the people who are most noticed (for better or worse) on the FFR forums. Best Avatar proved to be quite a hard fought battle and in the end three people came out as tied winners. Those were, again, MrESqueek, Omeganitros, and newcomer sc979. Provided is an artists interpretation of how we should view all three avatars: Thank you Tibs. Worst avatar is a surprise victory for Synthlight. Cheers? Signatures are next in line. Best Signature goes to iPatch with his famous Dance, iPatch, Dance thread backing this amazing signature up. Just look at it: Worst Signature goes to Kashazu, which is just him begging pathetically for a new signature. Coming up on the two awards that the staff care about, we have Best Moderator and Best Administrator. The winrars are Guido and Tass. These are especially worthy results because both only recently became what they are during 2006. So they have obviously been recent good additions for promotion. Well-done guys. Best Overall Poster Speaks for itself. This guy oozes style. The duke wins. Congratulations Jewpin. Worst Overall Poster caused some confusion amongst the committee it would seem. One member had it at a 2-way tie, the other had it at a 3-way tie but with a different 3rd person, meaning four people in the running for this prestigious title. Tibothy did a quick double check and found that: Tibs wrote: Kazashu: II Blue Blur: II Kashmu Blur: I WAIT SAME PERSON LOL: IIIII Kashazu wins. Most Missed: Least Missed: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...7&postcount=10 In quite an upset, the Best Thread has turned out to be Women In a none-too-surprising result, the Worst Thread goes to 1MIL GET That concludes the FORUM awards. We move on to the awards for THREADS. This section is for showing everyone at FFR just what the best threads this year were, whether you liked them or not they were legendary. Starting in Critical Thinking we have the thought provoking winner of the Most Interesting CT Discussion. The winner is Does Death Scare Anybody Else?. The Funniest Garbage Bin Thread is This Looks Shooped. I can tell this is the winner from some of the posts and from seeing quite a few wins in my time. Most Enjoyable Chit-Chat Thread turns out to be an easy win for Post Your Picture We come now to the ultimate thread. The Best Thread 2006. This thread has gripped us all from start to finish, from the start boasting insane scores (later proven to be fake) and lasting 184 pages. This beast of a thread currently has 3,672 replies and 57,303 views. I expect that to go up after this thread gets seen. Huge award goes to Omg… Did Insane…. We move on to PERSONALITY. This is what we think of people. Funniest Poster goes to Tibs. A man who has made epic wins from Tibs Vs A2P to recent wins such as that beautiful picture of Jewpin you see up there ^^. He is truly a funny poster. On the other hand, Least Funny Poster is awarded to duhh, a guy who believes that the definition of funny can be found inside the term “lol”. Smartest Poster goes to aperson, though I honestly don’t know why, I guess I don’t read enough of his posts. I’ll take the forums word on it. Stupidest Poster should be a heads up for the Dumbass of the Year award, xxH03xx…Boris_is_Rad, whatever the fuck your name is, congratulations on this worthy title and award of stupidest poster. Most Interesting Poster is another award for our mighty old-school Duke, Jewpin. The next three awards were all fought over eagerly from the cream of FFR’s artistic crop. We have Most Talented, Best Music, and Best Artist. Confusion arose as to what an “artist” technically is, but the winners are Classic_Rocker (Most Talented / Best Artist) and SGX (Best Music). To commemorate their awards I present you their respective talents, in thread form: http://www.sgxmusic.com/music.htm http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ad.php?t=53286 FUTURE! It’s the thing we fear, but here on the forums you need to look to the future for the next winners and losers. Let’s get going. Ironically, the Next Mod award goes to a person who was formerly a moderator, one bad day changed that though, but we still want him back. Kilga, come accept your award, and possibly future modship. Next Admin goes, again, to our favourite Duke, the one and only Jewpin. In a twist of fate, the Next Ban award was won while voting was still happening. This_n00b_rocks is the winner, let’s hope he wins this award many more times in the future. The User Most Likely To Leave Soon turned out as a tie, which was expected as lots of people might leave at any day. The winners are DaShoe (who?) and TN_Sasuke (whiny kid who wants us to believe he has had 18 girlfriends). Bye guys! We are coming up to the end of the awards and to conclude we have a new section that I made, dedicated to all that is THE GAME. I felt that we need to celebrate the best of the players of the game. Best FFR-File 2006 goes to the epic Stepmania simfile that was cut into five pieces. Stepped by Rebirth0, The Games We Played is the winner. There were many a complaint about files in FFR this year, from Pants to Lawn Wake IV, but the undisputable winner is Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star. Many people play THE GAME, but there are some who we notice more than others, they play day after day, game after game, whoring it to the point where they become number 1 rank purely because they have the biggest cumulative score. The first FFR Gamewhore is awarded to Scottish. Finally, our final award goes out to that player who has showed promise in recent months, the one most emulating the fast rise in skill that players such as Shashakiro displayed. Our Up And Coming FFRer is Dore. Congratulations. And that is it, that concludes the results of the FFR Awards 2006. I would like to say congratulations to all the winners and commiserations to all of the runners up and people who didn’t even get voted for once. See you all next year. Quote:
