Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
well you won
pull robotomy from the batch please, I'll make sure to step 4 random newgrounds songs and send them this month because that's Music Fit For FFR and they'll definitely make some Gr2008 files.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
his point was that even though you talk a ton of shit, you still play this game, and you most likely play the files you hate over and over because you want to get a Good Score on them
I don't think I've played more than 73k songs with all of my accounts combined, and you've been playing on one account since 2007 gg man gg

If we were going off personal preference, I would have had Robotomy put in-game ages ago. The file is one of my favorites, and TO ME, the song is great. Everyone quit yer bitchin' and wait for the batch notes to come out, then argue.

Did you try using ddream? Did you visit the guide in my sig? This could be helpful if you want to try to do projects on your own in the future.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
Rehashing drama, but I don't give a shit:
It really pisses me off that people are giving Choofers shit for stepping something different and completely out of the ordinary -- you guys can call it crap; I call him brave for actually trying to bring an artist that most people wouldn't think to listen to/try to step. I'm sorry, but I'm fairly certain Choof put a shitton more effort in that file than most people have in a long time -- you try sitting down and syncing a 6 minute song with nearly-randomized rhythms the whole time and see how long it takes you. I was one of the people who judged it, and I judged it fairly, and VERY thoroughly; I'm pretty sure Robotomy took me well over two hours to judge simply because I verified all of the rhythms, all of the layering, all of the sync, and pointed out everything that I found wrong with it: P.S. there's really not that much in terms of the song. It also -really- aggravates me that people feel like they have the right to say what is "fitting" for FFR, and even MORE aggravating that serious, time-spent review will get trumped by people who are like "shit song/terrible chart, 1/10" when they can't even attempt to conjure objective flaws. If you don't like the song, pass it. If you feel like there's a legitimate reason to deduct for song choice, explain it and make sure it's valid -- Atomhead's songs are very complex in sampling and there's no doubt he's a master in what he does, so I feel like there's absolutely no reason to dock points off of being "novice sounding" or "bad sounding". As far as I'm concerned, if there's an intended audience who will enjoy it, then it is a fitting file for FFR. Robotomy is fucking brutal, no doubt, but I enjoy playing it on SM because it's a different kind of challenge -- it's not the same old boring hard files where there's simple patterns at brutal speeds, it's a file that pushes beyond limits and forces harder level players to actually try. I converted it for FFR the last time it was in a batch, and I played the shit out of it. $0.02 -- if judges are going to leverage their ratings to fuck people simply because they don't like something, then they should leave the judgment team because it's not fair to the users or the judges. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Batch #1 complete)
Who knows. It'll probably pass this time. It had an average of like 6.7 if we omit the score of 1/10. If there was a lesson to learn about this topic, I'm sure all of the (currently silent) judges learned their lesson and will do the right thing when the time comes. I'd be surprised to see anyone giving another 1/10 on the file this time. 0.02$

This is exactly the point I was trying to get across, I just couldn't do it as concisely as this. Thank you.
