Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Awesome! I wish I still knew how to play the piano. I mean I can still read treble and bass clef and all, but it has been a while. I know treble very well since I'm a clarinet player.
Gonna try this on clarinet

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Dude, you should make more staves per page. That's a lot of pages to flip, and a lot of paper to use.

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Please, do so! I have this program called Synthesia where you can take any midi file and play it on a real keyboard on an on-screen keyboard, just like any other classic rhythm game.

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Very nice sheet music of it... I'm not going to say it's perfect--I see some more minor rhythyms that were not notated, but if you've heard it on FFR, you can basically play it on piano with that, keeping in mind the things that are different.
I do like, however, how it notates each note--including bass cleff (where I'm soo bad at playing by ear). Thanks for the amazing .pdf of it.

Wow, dude I love you.
Does anyone have a MIDI for this? I've been hoping to compose an arrangement of TGWP for string orchestra at some point. |

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
ok jon, we've talked about this before
it's one thing if you decide to make your own sheet music, but then you had the nads to post this on the front page with all the imperfections. good job ruining and destroying the little reputation that this song still held the song isn't even that great and the sheet music is plain horrible. it's basic, has errors littered all over it, and has very bad structure and notation. and instead of fixing it before making it public you decide to just release it btw everyone in this thread is a complete idiot

Meh. Since I got nothing to do, I'll get on it. ;D Here it is. Edited some of the times because they didn't match the actual song. Some were off by over 5 seconds... some only by 1. Thanks to xinpig for doing the first half. :3

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Naturals after measures with accidentals would be helpful for me (I know they aren't needed, but they improve readability).
Examples: Measure 51 - G Measure 207 - E (this one throws me off a lot) Measure 387 - B Measures 453, 455, 457 - F Overall, I am VERY impressed. I've been wanting sheet music for this ever since I heard it when it was put on FFR! |

Re: TGWP Sheet Music
Naturals indicate that you just play the note, negating any sharps or flats. They can be used if you need to play, say, a B flat and a B in the same measure.
Another topic: the last 4 pages of this are a beast! Here's my strategy for playing the last couple pages: 1) Memorize the right-hand part (not too tough) 2) Memorize the corresponding key of the left hand part (C, A minor, and a couple others). 3) Just improvise arpeggios in the left hand (mixing regular ones with Torley-style 5th 4th 3rd arpeggios), as fast as humanly possible while playing the right hand in as good a rhythm as you can muster. 4) Hopefully it doesn't sound like a mess... |
