About Signature Size

Just updated the forum rule about signature, so I'm letting you know.

If there're a lot of enormous signature pics, forums will get harder to read, and slower to load, so..

1. Your signature size must be under 600(width) x 250(height). If you want to put multiple pictures in your signature, sum of your pictures shouldn't exceed this size.

2. Total size of pictures in your signature must be under 1MB.

Please try to follow this, or your signature may be removed without notice.

By the way, the rule got a bit more lenient than it was (500 x 250).
1MB restriction was just added.

This is part of the reason why I turned off sigs and avatars.

I'm fairly certain that my sig is compliant, but if it isn't can you pm me just so that I know that I need to change it.

I turned off signatures as well. It makes the forums much uglier with all the huge signatures that people have. It looks pretty good with them all turned off. Unfortunately it still allocates a huge empty space in your posts if you don't make a large enough post.

Looks like I should change the dimensions of my sig since its 600x200 which I think should be the limit imo

Agreed. 200 pixels was fine as a height. There's really no need for that to be extended. The file size restriction is a good call, though.

Oh whoops. The 250px height image looked taller than what I thought the old limit was. If it's not being extended, then I suppose that works. (Vote is still for 200px if a change is ever considered, however. :P)

Edit: Btw I've noticed that the avatar file size limit has been 488.3kb ever since the site came back up. I don't think it was that high before, even for subscribers. Is that an intentional change?

The other thing you need to care about is file size (this is important too).

This means long/big anime gifs are not allowed.
