On a more serious note this would be better if it was only selling to the site. Because then it would be like wow and people would just be credit farmers for monies

Re: Buying Credits
Personally not too fond of the credit SELLING, but the credit buying doesn't seem like a bad idea...but then again, why implement that system as a whole when you can just open some sort of credits shop similar to the Credits for Items shop in the forums?
Ugh, but you think about it that way, it leaves more people open to being scammed for credits. Hmm, I can't go either way with this. =.= |

Re: Buying Credits
credit selling is a big no-no. i've said elsewhere... if i catch someone trying to sell credits, i'm removing them. i've done it to 1 person to date.

Re: Buying Credits
100 $ for 50,000 credits? I would feel bad if you bought that and just lost it in a 50k bet lol.

Re: Buying Credits
I like the idea, but since 80,000 = 1 3 month subbie, these numbers would be all wrong. Also, I say do this for only a day or so.

Re: Buying Credits
So i'll be pay $1 for 100 credits which can be made in 3 songs tops and in around 10 minutes.
Just doesn't seem fair to my wallet. |

Re: Buying Credits
besides the feeling dirty thing, there are 2 other concerns.
1. credits aren't currently 100% secure. we won't ever legitly consider this until they are. if that is even possible in flash. 2. we'd need to have other things for credits to be spendable on.

Re: Buying Credits
Why would you wanna make it two? He rightfully earned the credits, so he can rightfully do what he wants with them, it's not like he's forcing people to buy credits.

Re: Buying Credits
Alright, people are starting to ruin this idea..
I agree that selling credits is not a benefit for FFR. Selling credits could lead to scamming, which would lead to countless threads on "I lost X dollars because (insert name) scammed me. This is not what I had envisioned. Back to what my original suggestion was, I am proposing a direct deal between users and the site, not users and other users. Making this, FFR benefits, not Gamble Hall winners. I'd also like to mention, for a the third time now, that the figures I listed are complete bull****. Those were just examples. |

Alright, Tass, get other things for them to be spent on. It's actually a great idea.

Re: Buying Credits
Credits being spent to buy shirts and **** is already an awful nono. Fake money on ffr is a hell of a lot worse then popular MMORPG's, because there are so few purposes for it.
I don't know the exact legal problems with doing something like that, but it can't be a good idea. |

Re: Buying Credits
I think it's OK the way it is, and nothing major should be implemented, especially in the near future. A bit of a challenge to get credits at the moment, but it's fun. There already is the challenge system, the donations and the gambling feature. I don't see why you would need this idea implemented.
It might be good for some, but then there will be many debates on this issue, and I'd like to avoid seeing them.

Sounds good to me. Edit: Maybe credits could be like FFR cash and with enough you could buy things like Shirts, Subscriptions and suport tokens. Then selling them wouldnt feel so dirty. You would also have the choise of useing real cash though. Last edited by L0NEvvolf; 09-7-2008 at 01:54 PM.. |
