I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
Basically I just want a little help here. I've got enough for a DS lite and 3 or 4 games or a PSP, 1 game and a 1gig memory card. I mainly play RPG's and both handhelds have a decent selection of RGP games. The PSP has more RPG games out at the moment but DS is set to have some more in the future. I won't just play RPG's though. First off here are games for the DS lite id like to play and would be looking forward to. Not in any specific order.
Dr Kawashimas Brain Training - How old is your Brain? Animal Crossing - Wild World Lost Magic Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Metroid Prime Hunters Sonic Rush Lost Magic Advance Wars - Dual Strike Trauma Center - Under the Knife Resident Evil DS -------Below: Not out yet------ The Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass Children of Mana Lunar Genesis Custom Robo Arena Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - Justice for All Star Fox DS Tenchu - Dark Secret Elite Beat Agents Now heres a list of PSP Games id like to play. PoPoLoCrois Astonishia Story Tales of Eternia Breath of Fire Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max Mega Man Powered Up Tenchu: Time of the Assassins Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Enlarge Mega Man Maverick Hunter X -------Below: Not out yet------ Power Stone Collection Ys - The Ark of Napishtim Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII Guilty Gear Silent Hill Origins Infected I can't be assed looking for more. Does anyone here own a DS/PSP and would like to tell me how great there handheld is and why I should by either handheld. Anyone want to put there views on either forward? Thanks for times guys.

Your happy with the DS and the games then? Not regretting not getting the PSP? Assuming you haven't got a PSP of course. Thats why I want to be certian. I don't want to wish I bought the other.

I'd say DS, I'm happy with mine, aven though I've only got 3 games.
But there is another reason for you to not get a PSP, there's already a Guilty Gear DS game out. So you really don't need a PSP for tha'. I'm saying DS also 'cuz you can get the 3 or 4 games as oposed to 1 game and memory card combo.

Re: I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
PSP is way better, The DS is like the kids version of PSP, And PSP's graphics are WAY better than DS's, Plus with a PSP you can play movies, good games like Grand Theft Auto , And you can hold music, along with music PSP's can hold games in the memory, Plus Movies. The descion is really easy, As long as you can take care of it, PSP is way better.

Re: I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
psp has more functionality and better graphics, but i think DS overall is better for gaming. i have NEW super mario bros and mario bros partners in time. both are really, really fun, and partners in time makes awesome use of the dual screens.

Re: I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
PSP is cool but..... Well...... lets just say that Ds Lite owns it
Like ¾ of kids at my school have it and everyone brings in games and hooks on-line and it's real fun |

I own a PSP. I only own two games for it. It was expensive. I dont think I've gotten my moneys worth out of the system. Very few titles spark much interest. It's uncomfortable. If I could go back in time, I wouldnt by it again.

Re: I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
I would have to suggest the DS. The games are a heck of a lot cheaper than the PSP games considering you don't need to get a memory card. Plus, the Wi-Fi is really cool... I just hope they will add chatting for the Wi-Fi games...
I've never been a fan of PSPs because the only thing it is good for are the graphics. They worked to much on the visual experience rather than the controls and gameplay. So, go with the DS! (By the way, Advanced Wars: Duel Strike is already out)

I've just got one thing to say about the PSP.
It's a function, not a defect! |

Re: I can't decide. (PSP or DS Lite)
Definitely a DS. It's better AND cheaper.
When you count the GBA, the DS has not only a million more RPGs than the PSP, but a million more better ones. The PSP can play movies and music and such, but it comes with a 32 MB memory stick (not ideal for much music especially when you need to use the space for game saves, too) and additional memory sticks are overpriced. It's not anything you can stick an entire music/video selection on, even with the new super-expensive 4GB memory sticks. Anyone who buys a PSP because it can play music and videos is a moron, and anyone who buys the 4GB memory stick has a lot of money to blow. Here's some math for you: PSP + 4GB memory stick > the price of a 60GB video iPod. Lastly, about your game list, a few of those PSP games suck. Tenchu: Time of the Assassins and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex are VERY bad and Astonishia Story is pretty bad. Well, at least from what I hear. I usually don't play crappy games that are on systems I don't have. Daxter and ESPECIALLY Lumines are good PSP games which you didn't list. Of course, the DS still is better, but if for some crazy reason you get a PSP, Lumines is worthwhile. It's seriously addictive.

DS. Although it doesn't have not even near a fraction of the features a PSP has, the gaming is stronger, cheaper, better, cheaper, more challenging, cheaper, lighter, cheaper, has a light, cheaper, and did I mention cheaper?

So far guys it looks like 90% of the thread is going with the DS. i'll give it a couple more hours and so to see if anything changes although I doubt it will. Also, to those who have a DS what games would you recommend.

I'm looking at the Sonic Rush and Metroid Hunters game pack. Compare that to the PSP deals on this page, http://www.game.co.uk/lowdown.aspx?lid=6119&cat=11233

Uh, the graphics are not terrible. Sure the PSP's are better, but don't say The DS's are horrible.
