Sound like this game is a "must get"

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4?
Not really.
I personally don't see it as "Game of the Year" like everyone on G4 was saying.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4?
This is actually a very solid game, but make sure you have a lot of free time ahead of you cuz if youre a total sandbox gamer like me, and you can't say that youve beaten the game until youve finished every damn little side mission and odd job possible, then you will need it.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4?
Hmm, I'm much more of a competitive, multiplayer gamer than a single-player gamer. My question is this: for someone like me, who loves gaming but prefers competition to story, will GTA4 still be good enough to entertain me? Or is it a goldmine for single-players, while competitors will find it boring?

Online is kind of ****ty. Itll bore you in a day
Dont get me wrong, its fun to free roam and ****, but people are assholes and ****ing annoying as hell on the mic. And things that you see on your screen dont happen on another persons screen, such as hitting another persons car, or hitting a person for that matter. Laglaglag |

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4?
I find f***ing around just as fun, and I love the storyline. Personally, it reminds me of The Godfather. It's not a gangsta thug like San Andreas, it's about someone on a mission. I've played it about 30 hours and I'm just now about halfway through, so there's plenty of gametime.
Well worth the 60 bucks. I recommend it.

Re: Grand Theft Auto 4?
I hope they come out with a PC version since I do not have the consoles that it came out for nor do I want to.

In the former, you must hold certain places in Liberty City while others try to go and grab it. Hold more points earn more cash. Team with the most points win. In the latter, one team plays as the cops while the other the crooks. The crooks must get to a specific point before their leader is taken out. If any cop is killed, they respawn. If any crook (aside from the leader) is killed, they respawn. Still. Everyone has their niche and I haven't tried all the game modes yet. These are just the main two I can see myself getting lost in aside from the Freemode. |
