Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Its actually the easiest part of the song for me. Finger it 12-13-24. Problems pretty much solved.

Yea that's one thing I never bothered practicing and learning. I just got pretty good at shifting. Like I can nail the 24/35/24/35/etc thing in psychobilly, but this just went on too long for me to keep up. I'll practice that fingering, thanks.

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Well, technically, I have only 2 songs in the setlist in GH3 not 5 starred, but some of them are in quickplay.
I can't even pass that stupid Slipknot song because of a very Psychobill Freakoutish riff in it (like the chorus in PBF) And the other is Raining blood. PS: Cliffs Of Dover is insanely fun, I am gonna try and FC it. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Harmonix, I love you.
You yet again make one of the hardest songs in your game a classic/southern rock song. First was Texas Flood (I still dont have a 5* on that bitch of a song, but its still fun as hell.) Then was Free Bird (still a blast to play). Now we have Green Grass and High Tides. Oh. My. God. This song is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo epic. http://youtube.com/watch?v=oo714N79TOQ Cliffs of Dover is good, but its nothing like any of those three. It was a good try, Neversoft, and its a great song, but it just doesnt match. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
It's a shame Harmonix left the Guitar Hero team. I love the way the band works on stage in Rock Band. It's much better than the stale characters with Guitar Hero. The guitarist is the only one who does much of anything. The singer has like 5 moves. The bassist and the drummer do nothing. It's very boring for anyone watching you play. But Rock Band has the character interaction, movement, lighting, effects, and so on.
It's a shame it's primarily designed as a multiplayer game and costs so much money. Oh, and it's on a console I don't have. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Gametrailers has a review for Rock Band.
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/28093.html While it looks fun and has a large number of songs I actually know (which is good because I'd be on vocals), I will never be able to play it. Too much money, not enough Wii. Also, those who play Guitar Hero say the game is MUCH easier than Guitar Hero. Maybe just that one song when you're playing by yourself is difficult, but nothing else is. One guy said he 5-starred 32/33 songs on sightreads. On the hardest difficulty. If you watch the trailer, it makes sense why. The game is designed so that all four parts are equal. Though whoever gets stuck on bass probably sucks. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
I finally decided to rent gh3 a few days ago. I beat the co-op career with my friend and started single player career on medium. I went to hell and was two songs away from battling Lou when my little sister corrupted my data. Sh!t.

COME TO THE DARKSIDE, JASON. Even if the difficulty levels of Rock Band are not enough for you, there is always the 360/PS3 version of GH3 to contend with. ps if they can patch **** on the wii, why can't they get a patch out that fixes this issue?

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
So I saw this and thought it was absolutely insane. However, I can't hear a single strum or keytap. What do you people think?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=nL5U0YTzr7k On a side note, been playing GH for 3 weeks and am up to expert mode. Right now though I'm having a hell of a hard time doing the intro/solo for My Name is Jonas. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
If you're having issues in Tier 4 you're in for a rough ride.
My Name is Jonas is probably one of the most fun songs to play and it's all because of that intro. I guess practice the intro on Hard? It's only a few more notes on Expert. Though I'm not one to talk; I still only play on Hard because Expert is just retarded. Expert is just Hard mode with the notes spaced out more or doubled/tripled. |

Re: Guitar Hero. Awesome.
Yeah, mainly my goal right now is to go back through hard and 4/5* every song, then go back through expert. I haven't really had a lot of time to play except for the past few days for Thanksgiving break. I figure by the time winter break comes through I'll be at least 4*'ing most of expert. Right now I'm just hella busy with school and working full-time.
