Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
chronos - why did you ignore the solo near the middle that had interesting pr but whatevs just a personal choice, jacks are kinda annoying in the middle 7.5/10
clash - pretty cool file but a little bland. still pretty cool 8.5/10 i like trains remix - this is really cool.. both of the asdf song files in here are awesome lol p much scoring technical file 8/10 jordan - sweet file but the middle part felt off to me.. the entire solos but its still really fun 8.5/10 laste testament of twelfth mother - soooo bland i was hoping more out of this :< still really good for the song choice 7/10 oblivion - its awesome im glad someone finally stepped this :') 8/10 parousia - great scoring file, nice technicality idk i love this 9/10 sin - GOOD SONG CHOICE 11/10 sports - dis is sick too i like the simplicity in the chart and the song choice itself lol 8/10 thats all the random reviews i have for right now ;') edit: jk all files are suck i am best Last edited by intensez; 06-3-2013 at 12:26 AM.. |

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
I almost wish I would have made something for this pack. I just don't care about stepmania enough right now/anymore. I'll download it and perhaps post reviews though

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
my comment wasn't meant for hostility chill dude. others can agree though that there are better songs to pick than those ones in particular, lmao
p.s. I stepped alexisonfire and kylie minogue not too long ago. I do step non-japan when I feel like it, but no one plays those files anyways (they're in the spring'12 and mystery pack 3). you owe me $$$

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
O.o there wasn't very much "Ossa Syndrome" that I could tell. All the freezes were well placed and appropriately used. Yes I'm jumping to your defense here because it's the first file you've made in 3-5 years, so I guess it was a force of habit for you to utilize freezes to make the file fun. Believe me I did the same for Gravestoned. I overlayered it and made some VERY awkward and unenjoyable patterns but I'm learning from it and I'll apply it to my future WIPs

I personally don't think it has Ossa Syndrome either but I still love freezes in files. |

It only has two spots in which i spotted acute ossa syndrome but they're bearable and it's a great file overall imo ^_^

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
i think restepping those truly old/iconic goofy indexy files is turning out to be a neat motif in the recent packs courtesy of anaru. he's got the chops and scoring-minded approach to make them feel modern and fun and difficult while players are instantly drawn to those charts for sheer nostalgia/recognition value and knowing they're in for a real treat of an update. in general resteps might be a little masturbatory or whatever but i think these are pretty consistently inspired choices/results so hats off 2 u sir

I personally don't think resteps are necessary
there are literally billions of unstepped songs. I mean come on.

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
broadly i agree with you
but i think you miss the point of what i was saying about mi40's files, which is that there's a reasonable number of them and they target a certain subset of old shitty files conducive to becoming new hard charts and they're successful as high-profile pack inclusions a restep of piano forte or something might be unnecessary and silly, but i mean you're never gonna stop people from loving the shit out of a new-and-improved salieri strikes back, that's just the best popcorn-file idea ever

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
some files to today's standards could probably use a restep
but for the people who stepped it or others that still heavily enjoy the originals probably don't want to see a restep and don't see the purpose. new content is best imo.

Re: ODIPack3 Simfile Reviews
The people who don't want to see a re-step of a song don't have to play the re-step. But, there are people who will like to see a re-step of something and we as simfile artists will need to cater to anyone.

why not just have both
