Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
Woohoo, looks like Kirlian Changes and The Earth Blew Up are good to go. Sending fixes this weekend.
How will The Earth Blew Up be used in game (if jx decides to use it)? Skill token relating to bob_bob's file? Jelly - 8/8/7/6/8/8 Kirlian Changes - 4/9/8/8/7/7 The Earth Blew Up - 7/9/8/8/8/dossar

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
just to gather all my notes in a convenient place~
also the 24th rolls in saffron city are supposed to represent the closest approximation to saffron in ffr...they're not random lol and the rby ending in rby is...yeah...i thought that one would've been obvious edit: meh. I thought I'd at least have a chance with resub rights for at least one of these files but no dice. Maybe because when I send them in for testing before judging everyone's being too nice whoops anyway back to the drawing board~ Last edited by VisD; 05-12-2012 at 03:44 AM.. |

6/7/7/8/8/8. 44. 7.33 average.
I hope that scrapes the passing line.. EDIT: And if it does, I have the two minor arrow fixes Niala mentioned done. Last edited by T-Force; 05-12-2012 at 02:58 AM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
lol wc's comments are so good
I'll dissect the comments I got later. I question if megamon88 even played Mo-Ko-Mo-Core lol (there are only eight 8th jacks in the jumpstreams that are 5 arrows long, and nothing longer- for JS that dense you really have no room to call that bad) So much hating on my stream patterns too. That one is new for me, and not just from one judge either, so I'll have to go over that with the people who mentioned it. That's a criticism I can take seriously. Anyway next batch I think I'm only going to submit generic ~artfiles~. The files will all be technically perfect forgettable shit nobody will play and they'll get full + ratings and yet everyone will probably hate them when they get released I've noticed all my attempts to do something different from FFR's status quo are rejected by the judges but well-received when I send the files to other people individually... That or everyone's just trying to be nice to me? haha I guess I'll find out~

Also man the reviews for THE LITTLE MERMAID are effin hilarious
That file has entirely been worth the headache of resubmitting it and stuff just to see so many judge's comments. I really hope it gets past the cutoff :3

On a side note, looks like my files got (generally) positive reviews. That's good to hear :P If anyone has any questions pertaining to the notes, don't hesitate to ask me about it. Looking through the notes, some ratings are hilariously inconsistent though (skeletones especially) Last edited by megamon88; 05-12-2012 at 03:10 AM.. |

8 / 8 / 8 / 8 / 9 / 9 for Epilouge
Party hard? I think my issue with PR (in terms of this chart) is that I play most everything on mirror, so I think my brain thinks as if I plan to mirror it so I should step it backwards ect Just a random thought. Thanks for the good reviews! Will happily once again doing work on N's Farewell. :3 |

6/7/5/8/7/3 -- pretty much got what I expected, and yes, I expected one of two people to bomb me. I want to address Dossar's notes though, because I agree with some and absolutely despise others

EDIT: also, I appreciate the fact that you like the song and would love to see the file be more fluent, but it's simply not what I was aiming for, so I want to make that clear Last edited by TC_Halogen; 05-12-2012 at 03:20 AM.. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2 (Submission Closed)
Quick question to the judges who played my file.
If I remove everything between the first and second jumpstream, as well as the really boring parts around there, and the file ends up at around 3 minutes, should that be good enough to pass after I fix PR and everything? |

WHO GIVES A ****: 6/7/8/8/8/9
In the key of delete: 3/4/6/7/7/9 #consistency I used hands to PR chords for the synth in the middle section as stepping it alternative ways made it seem like the file spiked on either side, several steppers and more than one of the judges had told me it flowed quite nicely pre-batch. The 16th jacks have already been fixed as a trill. The jumpjacks at the end was a stretch on climax to see what I could get away with and have already been fixed accordingly. How it was given a 3, 4 and then 7's and a 9 has me stumped... Quote:
P.S: [Dracula] is no great loss, it got lower marks this time than when it qualified as a resub, so it'll be scrapped now unless Tristan still wants to rework it as a collab.

Next batch, we'll all get into a chat and talk about every file... so that all of our ratings are consistent enough to people's likings, mmk?
lol not really on topic: Syntax: 8/8/8/7/8/8 - accepted! Glass socks: 8/8/9/9/8/8 - accepted! (thanks for the 9's puppet, and MN :]) azul: 6/5/5/7/8/6 - shit file, made in 30 minz, idc |

Devil's Music Box: 8,4,7,6,8,6
I'm suprised, I'd expected a lot worse as my first file for a song I made in like 5 minutes Just in case, almost all the judges said something about missing jumps or them being off by a 16th note so that's fixed. And also fixed the stupid 24ths that should've been a quintuplet. Noob question, would the 4 rating automatically make it unable to be accepted? I would hate for it to not get through because the judge doesn't like hands or that it seems sloppy because I didn't notice the entire thing was slighty offsync until I opened it up in DDream Studio instead of the SM editor and had to fix every beat by hand... |

It is now harder to get a file into ffr than it is to get a file into an sm pack. Everyone so picky on personal shit.
I'll reply to stuff after work
