TWG XLVIII Postgame finally

I'm half tempted not to post roles because a good chunk of you don't deserve to know what was going on. I also apologize to everyone who was waiting for the game to end, though not too much because none of you actually bothered to help expedite the process by finding replacements.

But I'm going to anyway. >_>

However, before I do, for future reference, if I ever do one of these games again (which isn't terribly likely), don't talk to dead people. Wanna know why thunder was caught? He told people his role after they died, Manti most notably (maybe Stoic too idk). Then they came back and oh **** they know who to vote off!

Not talking to dead people is not a rule, it is a suggestion. Perhaps, after this game, it is a suggestion none of you will take lightly.

Anyway...

1 Master Wolf (played by flawofhumanity (Patchouli Knowledge))
Returns "human" to Aspiring Seer
Only has 25% chance of losing an artifact
If lynched, Master Wolf gets a retaliatory kill the next night - this kill is unguardable but can only target someone who voted for the Master Wolf

god damn that took a long time.

I'm glad it was a win for us, but seriously folks. How did you miss the admission of guilt statement thunder made at the end of the day where he surely thought he was about to be lynched? Stoic even pointed it out. Could have made that last day ten times shorter.

I'm mad at myself for not thinking of a role duplication within the wolves with the whole jewelers thing, but I guess it worked out.

Stoic sorry for doubting you. It's just that it occurred to me that I was a resurrection role and I didn't see there being two resurrection roles on the same side of the game (but then again I didn't see there being four wolves either).

Manti sorry for forgetting to set you up with a foolproof way to take over the alliance in case I died. (about the only plan I had that worked this game was getting manti attacked so that I could rez him).

flaw you had some good scrambling but it was obvious at the end.

fish you were pretty readable. trying harder than I imagined you would.

yess you would have had me fooled since I tend not to assume wolves will be that obvious.

thunder, poor choice divulging your role info to people.

- In regards to all the extra deaths/rebirths, thunder was saved on Day 2 by the Ressurection Artifact, talisman's Priest power was used on Manti, flaw's Brutal kill was used on talisman, Stoic (first time) and nija got hit by the Name Vigi artifact, and rioting and roundbox both got Ivan'd.
- The wolves got dicked pretty hard when Kefit lucked across the Psychic artifact Night 2 and was ambitious enough to use it to see what it did. There wasn't supposed to be that much human-exclusive role information. Still, I think thunder could've pulled it off had he not said anything to any cadavers.
- As you may have guessed by now, Manti getting voted off was a result of thunder using the Switcheroo on him. Incidentally, flaw had used the same artifact the day before, and it would have saved him had he not targeted Yesssss with it. D:

Quick question involving the question artifact, what, if any, were it's limitations on what you would and would not answer? I don't want to spill it in public in case this idea is reused, but I can think of a semi-complicated number-answered question that would be almost guaranteed to own every wolf.

Yesssss was obvious, thunder was more obvious. If you want to ask for an illegal to be killed (and that person isn't under suspicion of being red-illegal), it's best not to do it in the thread.

Another question, kilga, was I also attacked the same night I "died"? I would assume so being as I was the only death, but I imagine other things could have happened. I tried to make this my only "goal" in coming back to life. It was suggested (I think by flaw) that I approach the players with "hey, I came back to life" and try to split people into the "awesome" or "wait, how" pile, to give us a better chance at hitting wolves, but when talisman announced my role, I didn't feel that would be as productive, so I decided to at least try and get wolfed to help the team. Hopefully that worked. DBP was my near-certain SK guess because of a small statement he made over a game of twilight imperium, something about his kill going through but not being a wolf. I didn't think it was a joke because of how little effort he put behind the statement, but it was a guess none the less.

That's about it. Don't take forever to vote next time banking on kilga's lack of desire to update. The multiple extensions did not help this thing to end. Phantoms really should be given to those who don't want to play, and future decisions should be made by hosts to not let repeat offenders play. But that's just me and my idealism again.

Anyone opposed to another TT TWG?

Also, I thought of a question whereby you just ask "ok, if you look at the wolves' order of signups, what is the sum of the numbers to which each is ascribed?" but I figured that would be bending the rules too much.

I would have answered any question truthfully as long as the answer was a valid one, though I suppose if I use that particular item I should probably restrict number answers to "how many?" questions.

And yes, Stoic, you were wolfed Night 6 or whatever that was.

EDIT: X3R0, that sort of thing typically warrants a 6 month ban. I certainly hope that's not your goal.

My idea was basically a more confounded and more accurate version of this idea. Though I sort of doubt it would have been allowed given its accuracy.

Not to be, well, me, but I was bored and checked my idea. Originally I thought not knowing the number of wolves would have made me have to choose between 2-3 possible situations given kilga's numerical answer, but this proves false, my method would have given all wolf names exactly, producing only a single case. Clearly unfair unless kilga felt like specifically rewarding clever thinking, not exactly the point of the game, I guess.
