Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
I don't know whose idea it was to put an antipa requirement on a file I made for a skill token, but I'd really appreciate it being changed. I don't think it's exactly a secret that I'm very adamantly against these types requirements, to where they would be completely removed where it up to me - in short I find it being left as is in very poor taste.
Thanks. |

Are you talking about another file? Edit: Looks like he's talking about Alice's Garden, which is the file to play to unlock Alice in misanthrope. I'll sort this out through PMs.

Happy birthday Rob!
Curious about the Alice in misanthrope file as I considered stepping it before. Last edited by AutotelicBrown; 03-17-2019 at 05:24 PM.. |

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
It's less that I think they'll actually do it, but I had to ask anyways. It's not even about the questionable game design. An extreme comparison would be like mellon wearing a shirt with the c word she hates so much on it casually.
I don't like the hypocracy it implies. Even if I had no controll over it. At least an attempt has been made. |

Bruh, stop being so fucking salty. Anti pa is part of the damn game. Like it or not, that doesnt change that...
Ffr isnt just about aaaing shit. Anti pa takes just as much skill, if not more and its definitely more fun.

[notstaff] Let's err on the side of not being assholes. This is creative opinion entitlement, and XelNya is allowed to disagree and is hasn't been vicious about it. If you want to disagree, be civil about it rather than attacking. [/notstaff]

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
It's more of a discussion about stepartist rights. The requirement will be adjusted hopefully on Sunday.

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
Can stepartists have the right to choose sensible genres for their charts as well, asking for a friend.
The way I see is that by sending a chart to FFR you are implicitly agreeing to how the game uses its content --- including anti-PA which is hardly a new thing. Not that I don't consider it a nice courtesy to keep in mind individual stepartists' preferences given the community ran aspect of the game, but I believe you are giving up that right* once you submit something to the game. * - I actually never checked if there are official terms of agreement for file submission written down anywhere. |

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
I agree. By submitting a chart in the game i feel like you are giving up those rights. You dont see anyone else complaining... ?
Literally not even anti pa reqs. Pretty immature if you ask me and middie should just grow up and stop crying about a literal part of this game. Ok in before ban. Was fun guys. /rant over

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
Alice in misanthrope's token requirement has been adjusted to the following:
Pass Alice's Garden with at least 344 perfects and at least 172 max combo. The main difference here is that now you no longer need exactly 172 max combo. This means any score that is better will be satisfied; playing normally and getting an AAA satisfies the new requirement for example. Quote:

Re: St Patrick's Day and Birthday Release 2019
I wouldn't want a token requirement on ANY song, since that limits the amount of people who can play it. I guess tokens can be a good thing if it forces people to play songs they wouldn't usually play, but then you'd have to grind for the token (which doesn't seem fun to me).
I think the reasons why there's few complaints about tokens is — 1. FFR community not big = not many potential complainers. 2. Complainers realize their words don't matter as stepfiles continue to have token requirements anyways. 3. Possible risk of having their stepfile not added in game due to disagreement about token requirements. Anyways, this change on the token requirement of "Alice in misanthrope" is a positive surprise to me. Last edited by ositzxz369; 03-24-2019 at 05:50 PM.. |
