Default [PAD] Gott - Sound Voltex - SX 13

Graphics weren't made by me. Many you have probably seen them in one of the Yolomania packs. I'm not sure who made them originally. I'm too lazy to remove, deal with it. <3

If you make a video of you playing this on pad I will <3 you forever.

I don't think this one is very fun at all on pad, looks too much like a keyboard conversion. Jump clusters like that aren't fun, the layering should be less rigid and more stream-based during the parts where there is more going on. Prominent sounds should be accented differently. Not a fan of those miniholds, especially when they start to cluster the stream. Streams themselves aren't very well structured and the triplets at the beginning are quite repetitive.

I will try it on pad if you want but i don't think it will go so well :P

I'm going to have to side with Mollo in the generally negative review -- it's sometimes acceptable to have straight 8th jumps, but it's not very fun to have to do them at that high of a tempo.

Your mini-holds in the chorus are double-accenting; that is, you're using freezes exclusively for a rhythm that also clearly follows the melody. This makes the mini-hold usage absolutely useless in many places. Outside of this, they just look sloppy in the 16th streams.

I will however disagree with Mollo with regards to the triplets -- at 195, the triplet usage is pretty tasteful and reasonably done to syncopate with the song, and to me, they're an alright way to open the song. The streams at the end definitely could use some work in patterning, and the jumps separating the streams need to be used a bit more carefully as well: if you're using jumps and not chaining an 8th note to the jump in question at this speed (chaining = repeating one of the two steps contained within the jump), you run a massive risk of having the player choose the wrong direction to start streams, and you definitely don't want that. Every instance of [14] jumps into some variant of 23 poses this problem.

Thanks for the comments. What do you mean by the layering should be less rigid and more stream based exactly? I was worried about the jump section when I was making it, but tried to make the jumps somewhat easy to transition into without sacrificing the difficulty and flow too much. I'm going to try the file out on pad before I make any changes to the jump section.

Removing adjusting isn't out of the question, but I'm going to leave the mini-holds as-is for now, as IMO they don't add or take away from the chart since they are basically the same as non-holds anyways. The patterning remains the same.

Also. Can you give me an example of where there are sounds that you think should be accented differently? The song sounds pretty straight-forward to me >_<.

Yeah I was worried about the jumps when I made that sections. Like I said above, I tried to make them flow well without sacrificing difficulty. The "candle" jumps might be killer though, they just felt better than side jumps to me ([14] to [12] to [14] to [24].) I'll consider removing/altering them once I play the file on pad. I'm not the best at ITG, but 99ing straightforward 13s isn't really out of the realm of possibility for me, so if I have no issues with the jumps they miiight remain. Fortunately they don't last too long.

As for the [14] into 23, there are only 2 spots that I am aware of that this becomes an issue, which are the two spots that have mines immediately after that force you to lift the foot you are supposed to use to hit the next arrow. I usually try to avoid this as much as possible, but I'm not opposed to SOME sections in a chart that require you to change things up a bit. This song is pretty repetitive, so I was just trying to break up the monotony a bit. Are there any other sections that you can see where this might become a problem?

I'll check out the end streams once I get a chance to play it on pad. I tried to make the same streams before the end ones straightforward with no candles to avoid increasing the difficulty past 13. There is a teeeny bit more going on song-wise that I attempted to accent in the end (just the bass hit every few moments) and it may have just been a bad choice. I'm stuck at work today so I may/may not be able to play this when I get home, but I'll definitely look over everything and see If I can maybe make things flow better - especially the end streams.

Thanks!

(It's Gpop from r21freak)

I'm gonna add on to it to say that since you're accenting the melody at times, you missed some parts of it consistently in the first half of the song.

Also, ambiguous step after a jump at 0:45 (probably missed a mine since you put them later).
