Re: ScarletSky's Amateur FFR Tournament
You have 6's with some 7s. I have 5's with one 6. So far it seems like -most- people in that division are AAA'ing it, and I'm pretty much -at- AAA or die. I'm at 3 goods or die, 2 days into the round.

But unfortunately, there's ALWAYS borderline players in every division (except D4 it seems like) in every tournament. I feel that if you're borderline, you go up instead of down. The goal is to better your own skills as a player in FFR, right? Well what better way to push yourself than being placed in a higher division. That's how I got from mid D3 to top of D5 in a matter of months. Last edited by ScarletSky; 12-19-2011 at 07:19 PM.. |

Re: ScarletSky's Amateur FFR Tournament
I have one 6 AAA, others are 1, 2, or 3s. I did play this song close to 70 times to get the AAA, so I don't think it's all bad placement. I don't know how many times you've tried comparatively (some day I'll be a vet), but perhaps you just need to play it endlessly? I was ready to quit at 5-1-0-0 until I saw people were AAA'ing it.

Re: ScarletSky's Amateur FFR Tournament
One 6 AAA and one 7 AAA (which felt more like a mid-high 6 anyways) over here, with a handful of FCs, and no even remotely close 8+ FCs.
But "bragging" aside, that's the thing about competitions in general. It's easy to determine the best of the best, but when it comes to things such as tiers, how are you the best of the middle? There's too many factors to accurately determine people with relatively equivalent skill...=/ |

Re: ScarletSky's Amateur FFR Tournament
Just looking at AAA's isnt the only consideration of skill. There are a couple players in the official tourny who havent AAA'd an 8 yet who are about to eliminate me from the tourny (*cough turbo cough* lol, damn that song is trippin me up).
This tourny was a great idea though, props to Scarlet for putting this together, nice to see less experienced players becoming more active. Maybe they'll throw in for some other tournys too. |

Sightread it, but posting this first just in case I don't have a chance to practice before the end of the round.
