V either died because the wolves were aware that he's a good veteran player and he can push through a lynch, or they were trying to make a "good player kill" to cover for DBP being a wolf and not dying in the night.

If that's not the case, V dying is exceedingly clever because it creates a distracting conversation. The only person who would think that far is Manti.

the vote switch is interesting because the justification against Charu seems stronger but was obviously scrambled together.

Contrived? Honest? This is what determines whether or noy danceguy is green or red.

It's not a 'necessary' move for a green or a red to do. Keeping a vote on me is safe.
