Oh man, with the glory that was Contra 4, I really really can't wait for this one. SNK will do an absolutely fantastic job.

Yay! Another Metal Slug title in 2D. I heard that a 3D version of Metal Slug was released in Japan and was terrible.

Metal Slug was always fun, but sometimes too short. I hope that this game will contain more than 6 levels since it's most likely that it won't be an AC release.

Hopefully they'll offer single-cart multiplayer, something that Contra 4 didn't have.

God, it would dominate Geometry Wars: Galaxies for the best action multiplayer DS game.

Definitely one I've been waiting for. I felt 6 fell down a bit from where 5 took the series, so I'm looking at this one to be great. The Metal Slug characters have also transitioned decently into the fighting games, so I'm waiting for a new SNK fighter to release too.

I mean Geo Wars late last year, N+ this month, and now Metal Slug 7?

I havent enjoyed the series so much since 3 myself. 4 and 5 felt like a step back and didnt really add anything.

TC are you sure this is comming to arcades too? from what i've heard its a DS exclusive which is kind of a shame really.

I didn't care much for 3 or 4. X and 5 still stand as my favorites.

Yeah, but knowing the arcades in the states, we wont get one.

It would be blasphemy for SNK to not release the title in arcades, but with the current state of the arcade industry here in the US, most likely the DS release is the only chance many will get to play the title.

That implies that it may still come out in the US

Just thinking about a 3D Metal Slug sounds horrible.
