Great lifts!

We have a pretty similar total.

Thanks Reach! Have you competed before? If not I'd definitely recommend it. It's an awesome experience, a whole lot different than lifting in a gym.

Nope, never. I don't consider myself very strong for 3.5 years of training, even though I am pretty big muscle wise, and would be a bit embarrassed to compete.

My best lifts are about 275 b, 445 d and 385 s @ 189 lbs (currently cutting and 184.5 right now).

My squat took a real hit after pulling hip flexors on two occasions. Tight hips are kind of par for the course for my job. I've spent the last year building up flexibility to compensate, and everything is all healed up now so I can ATG heavy comfortably again, but it's going to take awhile to build up to 385+ again. I have big legs, I should be able to squat more tbh but it's tough with work.

Benching I'm just...not super great at. Don't have good leverage off the bottom. I can incline 225x6 to chest but for whatever reason my flat press isn't that much better.

I think it's the long arms, which makes sumo deadlift probably my best lift. 445 was pulled with me barely training deadlift ever. Ironically I hate deadlifting so I don't bother training it even though it's a good lift for me lmao.

Practicing wider grip on the bench. Working on elbow positioning. This should help with technique and eliminate dumb shit that may be holding back progression.

Yeah I think the wide grip stuff will help you in a bunch of ways. I think you will get more out of them in every way if you do them paused as well.
