Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Heh I just watched all of those LN videos that you posted
and I like Angel Dust/Gratitude the best, from those 5. How did you bring up that menu with all those AAAs from other players?

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
No, there's not much correlation. A difficulty 7 is a difficulty 7 no matter whether it's normal, hyper, or another.
Nice pass; what level is this, 6? How long have you been playing?

Numerical difficulties are supposedly the same on various difficulty modes. A 7 on [a] would be expected to be as manageable as a 7 on [h] of a different song. That being said, difficulties are very subjective just like FFR. |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
It's the fact that keyboard keys are so close together, whereas they're more spread apart on a controller, not to mention that keys 2,4, and 6 are further up, just like the black keys of a piano. And of course, there's the added component of scratches which you really need to try out with the controller.
Basically, I think the ease of reaching and hitting a button on your keyboard makes it significantly simpler. |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Hold down the start button to bring up the mod selections, then spacebar I think (at least, for my setup)

Recent LR2 accomplishments. Really happy about poppin shower [A] clear. My timing is also improving, though I wish I was more accurate and less sloppy. Everything done on a FP7 djdao ASC. |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
I'll use .Layne.'s image as an example. Just go to the song select menu. On the left side of the screen, below the BPM it says "Judgerank: Easy."

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
on the RA theme it's on the bottom right
I also just found this out cause I had a feeling it would be somewhere in the .bms files Rank 2 = normal, rank 3 = easy, idk about hard/very hard but I just need change a huge majority of my files now .___. Last edited by [TeRa]; 12-13-2012 at 05:21 PM.. |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
Interesting find. Are you saying that if you change that number manually, the judgement will also change..?

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
There's a script that I have that can change the judge ranks in bulk. So you don't have to go through each folder manually editting the .bms file, if anyone is interested I can upload it.
@breakdown16 yes, you can make the timing easier or harder this way, though if you use internet ranking, the file will become invalid. |

Re: The BMS/IIDX Thread
I have it it but yea i''l need to upload it. But the issue is you need to drag and drop the .bms files created to every file
