Re: Lolicon
Dam it, you all jump to to many conclusions......it confuses me. It should be legal, just because.

Re: Lolicon
Most hentai looks like little girls anyway. Lolicon is kinda wierd, but it shouldnt be illegal.

Re: Lolicon
Lolicon being illegal is retarded.
Why is it that when the drawn girl is skinnier, three heads shorter, and has bigger eyes, it's enough to put you in jail?

Re: Lolicon
Yeah. How does anyone know the age of any nude guy/girl? I mean some adults just look like flat out children while the children might look like adults. If one out of two people (hypothetically the same looks but one is like 10 years older than the other) posses legally as a porn star while the younger person doesn't, what would anyone say about such a circumstance (if it were [or even is] true)?

Re: Lolicon
You have to cut out a cross section and count the rings.
But seriously, that is a very good point. You could just say it is a picture of an adult with an aging disorder...

XD
Epic win. But seriously guys, it's a damn PICTURE. Made of PIXELS. Oh my God, those pixels look like a girl too young for sex! And Oh my God, THOSE pixels look like the word "sex"! BAN ALL PIXELS, why don't ya? Jesus Christ, you people...this is no different from regular hentai. The pixels are just arranged differently. Or, as my friend would say, if you see something here you don't like, don't look at it. |

Re: Lolicon
PIXELS? ALL JUST PIXELS?
Even child porn is represented in pixels. Hell, should we make there be a law saying that a person must be 18 years or older to view pixels just because pixels are used to make sexually explicit material? The "pixels" argument means nothing, because when a person sees the image, they don't see pixels-- they see an image.

Re: Lolicon
Yeah, that pixel argument doesn't work. (assuming that lolicon is bad [not my view at all]) The whole pixel argument is just as rediculous as assuming that a murderer should be able to kill because the murderer is made up of the same atoms that create people who don't want to harm others.

Your sight is your only sense that lies; color blind people see the world no less correctly than you do. After all, how do YOU know your sight registers colors as it REALLY is? Maybe you see everything inverted; maybe space is actually white and the sun is actually blue. Heck, the world might not even have color at all. Or everything might be different shades of hot pink and lime green. See, mortal, your brain makes up and fills in the gaps of a lot of what you see, so you see porn, and I see [incorrectly?] colored pixels. We're both right. Yay. |

Re: Lolicon
So you parse every single image you are ever exposed to as a collection of pixels and never draw any further meaning from them? how are you participating in a discussion when the text you see in front of you isn't actually words with meaning, but are instead a meaningless collection of pixels?

I believe it is definitely pedophilia. I think it should be illegal around the world, so then we could start throwing the artists and fans in prison. It will be a great day when the world is rid of anything and everything depicting child porn.

Re: Lolicon
If a person can't see an image because they have extreme eye problems, they probably couldn't access a computer. As for color, we have had black and white movies and trust me, if we saw a naked lady back before movies were in color, people could make out that the lady was naked. Color doesn't really change what you see. In warcraft, they show partially naked nightelfs who may be blue and we can see more to them than just pixels.
Edit: "I believe it is definitely pedophilia. I think it should be illegal around the world, so then we could start throwing the artists and fans in prison. It will be a great day when the world is rid of anything and everything depicting child porn." You have no reasons, proof, or anything to back up your view as stated except with what you probably view as "normal". Last edited by Master_of_the_Faster; 06-6-2007 at 06:56 PM.. |

While lolicon is both good and bad in certain ways, I still think it should be done away with. The only good side is that it leaves people with something other than actual child porn. The bad side is that lolicon could possibly lead to further pedophilia (no proof for this one, I'm just guessing.) So yes, this is mostly an opinionated decision. But I'm just throwing my two cents in. |

Re: Lolicon
Well your two cents won't buy any strong opinion. After all, money doesn't bring happiness atleast not unless you have enough (my own quote). As for my view on lolicon, it is perfectly fine unless it would potentially lead to a person who is harming another person's life, liberty, or property. Even if you link lolicon to rape, how would one know that a rapist isn't just doing this out of simply wanting to do it? There would most likely never be a clear connection of why this act of viewing a picture would lead to someone harming another's life, liberty, and property.

You are true, however, with your example of linking lolicon to rape. I have seen countless times where something unrelated has been blamed for death or crime. For example, I have seen medications that have no clear link to psychological complications be linked to suicide. It is necessary to understand that people have a lot going on in their lives for the most part. It is not always right to blame something right off the bat. |

Contrary to what I just said, actually, many places the age of consent IS still 12, if there's an age of consent at all: My apologies as this seems to technically stray from the original point of the thread. =/ Last edited by Melone Marshe; 06-8-2007 at 02:37 PM.. Reason: Fixed wording. |

Re: Nocilol
Er...I'm not sure from where you got that map or from where they got their information, but Canada is marked as AoC 12, which is clearly not the case. Unfettered age of consent in canada is 16, unless the other person is both over 18 and in a position of authority, in which case it is 18. (Or at least, that's how various documents on the subject I've had to read for jobs etc describe it)
