Lack of MegaDeth?

It seems all there is (mostly any way) Techno. I really don't mind Techno but I think we need more Metal and Trash Metal. I think that bands like MegaDeth not only have good solos but would be fun to play all around. (not ever song of coarse) It would be nice if a sim artist would do more of MegaDeth. Thats my little rant for today.

Ok, you go ahead and ask a huge band like Megadeth for permission to use one of their songs for absolutely free. Let me know how that goes.

Guys, you're right to berate him, but you're sort of wrong. We've got some relatively big name things going on here. Most are just widgets, but there is also Rise Against and Panic at the Disco, and I don't know about you guys, but they're played all the time on the radio around here.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that nothing is impossible, and it's not a bad idea to shoot for the stars.

Moved to FFR General.

We need permission from every band or artist in order to add their songs to the site. We can't just simply add any song from any band that we want as it is illegal. We don't currently have permission from MegaDeth to use their music.

let me just say.... getting permission from an artist signed to a major label is extremely difficult if you just randomly message them on myspace. for almost every permission we have from a band you've heard of, we went through either the label itself or the band's management company.

He wants more metal, there is not that much metal in the rock section. Maybe 12-15 songs depending on your definition. Maybe more.

Oh, and I've been working on getting some more metallic permissions. Not going well, however.

southern i find is more of rock then metal.

But yeah, what basically everyone else said. To get Megadeth in FFR, you will need to obtain their permission, which can be pretty difficult to do. If you think you can though, go for it! Would love to hear Hangar 18 or Truth Be Told in FFR. =P

megadeth is on roadrunner... the same label as dragonforce, nickelback, opeth, slipknot, and trivium. believe me, we're trying to get in with them.
