That model can be applied to essentially everything in life that is worth having or doing.

Being unaware of its existence, learning of it, enjoying it, finding faults with it, finding something new to enjoy.

Sex is way better than MMORPGS. Kinda hard to compare the two.

You get sick of anything if you don't mix it up. I mean, with an MMO you can like, QUEST OR party ON SOME NEW MOB OMG LOL but with sex you can do anything really. Do it outside, it's exciting

Not to mention people have natural sex drives and sexual needs. I don't know anyone that has a MMO need, though I suppose they can be addicting.

MMO is not an innate need in humans but it can facilitate other functions such as a need for social interaction or a need to feel fulfilled and accomplished.

You might not think it an impressive feat to get to 80 and have amazing gear in WoW, but the people who work every day to get through raids and such to get there find fulfillment in it, and most MMO players also are deeply entrenched in friendships developed out of the gaming.

Not that I was being overly serious. There are numerous reasons why MMOs are addictive. They tap into a lot of things we know are addictive from addiction research.

They are different reasons that people like to have sex though.
