A remixing contest.
I wanted to hold a remix contest, but I think i came up with a better idea in the end. I like to think of the artist community on FFR a bit differently than the normal members, in that it seems people here are more about enjoying music instead of flame wars and retardation.
So here it is: Pick a song from FFR and remix it. The original artist can provide you with pads and samples if they want, or help finding the melodies if you have trouble, etc.. If you use the same software maybe even the files for it. When you're done, you have to send the file back to them, even if you don't use the same software so they can get a good example to help teach them a new program or method of doing things. I will post the mp3s on my webspace if it catches on, and I guess there could be an unwritten contest to see who can remix someone's song the best. In either case.. Jewp, man up dawg. I want to give a shot to Stalled out and sushi bars!

That would pwn...or what would be really cool, even, is if one night someone held a big radio show and played all the remixes, and anybody in the chat could vote. You know how some radio stations have a 'cage match' between songs? If you don't, basically they play two songs, people vote for their favorite, and the winning song moves on. Eventually you get to the last two songs, which are voted on, and whoever made the winning remix could get some sort of a prize. Seriously, that would get a huge radio listener turnout, plus the ultimate uber-coolness of it all amazes me.

Incredibly...that's actually very good, Aero. I (no offense) hated the first one, found it annoying and hard on the ears, but this one actually has a beat and rhythm to it. I could actually picture myself listening to this (if it wern't for the fact that I think I'd go insane for hearing AIM noises everywhere). Nice job on the remix.

Unfortunately I don't think I will be in on this competition. Nothing in FFR really gets me goin and makes me want to remix it, and I don't like putting out half-assed material. I'm also hella busy at the moment.

it isn't a competition so much as something to do for fun guys.. i just wanted to get people together a bit more..
as for the la luna source file.. right now i can't send you the whole thing.. But i will let you have a watered down version consisting of certain synths.
