Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Yeah guys, sorry about the Pussy Pump sync issue. I did some minor frame treatment to D4/D5/D6 files, but I gave Kayla the version before proper sync (I was having some massive sync problems on my laptop). It won't happen anymore in the future, haha.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
In all my docs it had 63 when AJ put together the info on songs for me (length, difficulty, blah blah blah) he typo'd 64 and I didn't even realize the change XD. It's fixed now.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Be thankful N's Farewell didn't make it last batch
It make's Silvuh's charts seem relatively tame in terms of grace notes. As a side note, the charts aren't that interesting but they're not bad except for pussy pump which is pretty much what I expected of it. Last edited by Xx{Midnight}xX; 01-23-2013 at 01:08 AM.. |

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Can pretty much AAA everything in Retro City except when those weird 12ths and 32nds come in at 600 - 900 combo. I need to figure those out

I really had fun with the D2 song, it wasnt bad, but had those annoying little white arrows.
Great start to the 8th imo

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Warmish Walkin' - It was ok (both the song and chart). Can't say much about it really heh.
Swaying Sunflowers - Really enjoyed the song and the chart was nice ^^ Fire - My own chart. Out of all the files I've submitted to the batch this one had the best ratings so far for some reason. Touch Me - Not a fan of Gunther.... chart was good though =) Retro City - aksdjfolkuoaiusdfasdf favorite chart this round! Absolutely loved it Jesse. Song is awesome and the chart was very fun to play to it. Pussy Pump - Don't think I'm warmed up enough to give a complete opinion on it. Song was ok and the chart was ok as well. Having a hard time with the JS for some reason but then again I'm not completely warmed up.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Glad to see that the comments seem to be positive on all the songs. I hope we don't run into too many file issues during this tournament.

Re: Official Tournament Round 1 Song Discussion
Round 1 thoughts:
Warmish Walkin': Interesting but rather strange song. Pretty constant for the first round of D1, not to mention those repetitive 8th arrows that might zone out some players' accuracies. Seems to have less breaks than last year's first D1 round. Good luck to you guys! Swaying Sunflowers: I felt the song sounded really amateurish , oh well. The steps were stepped as expected from the song, although there was one note that missed a jump that I spotted clearly. Can't say I loved this one... Fire: Short song! And while more difficult than D1's and D2's of course, I really didn't think it was that difficult to shoot to a 45 (heh, what a jump from D2's song being a 24). Cool song that had more dnb to it, hence the "drum" in drumstep. Touch Me: My file. You can hear the full song and view the music video here. Interestingly enough, this song is a remake of Samantha Fox's original song (video here) by the same name which hit the billboards in 1987. Hope you enjoy this sexy, albeit cheesy song. Retro City: Wow, I really liked the song! Very glitchy with tons of choppy samples used to create this cool work of art. And the file was great too. I wonder if Razor stepped the slowdown with some sort of nod to kors k's song "D". Transitioning to that slowdown was really familiar in that sense. p.s. I love minijacks Pussy Pump: This is a hip hop song with a serious bipolar disorder. First half of the song has slow hip hop beats, constantly interrupted by fast breakcore sections. Then the second half is where all the tricky stuff occurs in the file. Great chart, Luis! p.s. I can't jumptrill Last edited by bmah; 01-23-2013 at 03:21 AM.. |
