Silly (and Short) Choose Your Own Adventure Storybook

I would like to host a Choose Your Own Adventure story that's random and has no plot. I will provide choices, but you're free to choose your own choice if you would like. There will be no voting for which choice I'll use; I will pick the first post after mine. ^.^

*edit* There is not set time limit for me to update any of the stories. In addition, if no one replies within one day or so, I might make the choice for the next part in the story and post twice in a row.



A little boy named John jumps into the sea. He doesn't know how to swim, but he wanted to try it anyway because he once read in an article that risk-taking is beneficial to your health. He almost drowns when...

2. a shark almost eats him but misses, and he rides the shark to safety.

3. a jellyfish electrocutes him and he faints, falling into the depths of the sea. He grows fins and can breathe underwater, thus not falling to his ultimate demise.

I'm sorry, but this adventure is PG-13, and no inappropriate actions are allowed (not to mention he's about ten-years-old). He can still try to visit her bedroom though. ^.^

John is about to jump back into the water, when the mermaid resurfaces and asks why he wants to go back into the sea. John replies, "I wanted to visit your bedroom, since I've never seen an underwater home before. She answers, "sure, that would be great! I know humans can't breathe underwater, so here's a diving helmet for you to wear." John catches the helmet and puts it on his head. They travel together to her bedroom, and he is amazed by the glowing algae and seaweed colored red, blue, and green. He explores the house and finds many coral shells and colorful stones. John thanks the mermaid again for saving him, and then the mermaid carries John back to the surface again. John thanks the mermaid again for all her help, and the mermaid dives back into the sea. John would like to go adventuring, but he doesn't know where to start. He ponders and finally makes his decision to travel to...

John then comes across a stranded whale in the middle of the Sahara Desert! He rubs his eyes in disbelief, but when he stares at the whale a second time, he realizes this isn't a dream. He considers his options: should he try to carry the whale to the ocean before it dies, ride the whale with the time it has left, or maybe explore the whale's intestines?

Once he gets to the top, he spots vast amounts of sand everywhere along with the burning sun, a lake about one-quarter of a mile in both length and width, plenty of other palm trees surrounding him, and...square-shaped houses made out of sand and clay!
