Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
ok so i have a game, but i'd like to check with someone to see if it's balanced. since i'd like to have a mystery element, it would preferrably be someone who wouldn't play.

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
Guess I'll take another shot at this.
TWG LXXXVI: Lone wolf 13 Players The Lone Wolf - If he is lynched the humans win. The Pack's Defender - The lone wolf cannot be lynched until he is killed. Sly Wolf - May switch roles with the lone wolf durring the night. Seer/Vigi - Can act as a seer, or vigi somebody durring the night, however, the vigi will be at the cost of their life. Send either a "Seer Player X" or "Vigi Player X" to prevent confusion. Dead Eye - If this player is the first person to vote for somebody during a lynching phase and that person is lynched, their lynching will not be stopped by other effects. Poor Guard - He's rather bad at his job, his guarding will fail if his target is blue. He will not be informed of this failure (Unless his target dies of course). 6 Humans 1 Unlucky Human - If this person is the last to vote on a person that would be lynched, the lynch fails. Is unaware of this detriment.

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
I PM'ed you a few suggestions about your game ruritsu. Take it with a grain of salt if you wish.
But one question: What if the lone wolf is vigi killed? Is that considered a lynch or is it a way to get around the pack defender? |

TWG LXXXIV: WGI SHOWDOWN
12 players 3 Wolves 3 Item Finders 6 Humans Rhythm X Riverside Community College Music City Mystique Aimachi Pulse Percussion Redline United Percussion North Coast Academy Gateway Indoor Blue Knights Matrix Infinity Items: ON Corpse Looting: ON Role Name Discussion: ON Night Talking: ON Cardflipping: OFF DEATH: ON PS: If you follow drumlines at all, you should very well be able to lol at my list. Looking at iggy's post, I guess I can clarify a little. There will be certain "mystery" like aspects that I can't explain, but the item finders will receive 1 item (each) a night, chosen at random, and certain events will trigger other things. And as far as items, there're seer, vigi, guard, and a couple others that I cannot disclose to players. Last edited by iluswirl; 08-31-2009 at 11:58 PM.. |

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
Jolly ****ing mystery game. - More people that sign up means a more intricate and challenging game. - Phase length and times depend on number of people who sign up. - Items added depend on number of people who sign up. - No card-flipping. - Theme depends on number of people who sign up. Starting to get the picture? All scenarios are already created. I have about 20 possible TWG's sitting around. |

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
Sorry, but since there are quite a few number that want to play, can there be a game that has more than 12-14 players? Perhaps 18-20 if possible but have more kills so it does not drag on? Just a suggestion I really do not plan on hosting at all.

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
@clarinet: I'd be happy to look at it but I do want to play in a game. If you do not think it's balanced however, you should not run it.
@iluswirl: Your game needs more explaining because we still are in the dark. What items are there? Do the item finders start with the items or do they look for them in the game? Do the wolves get items or are they just wolves? I would like these clarified before I see your game come into play. @red herring: I also sent you some suggestions but in short your game is not balanced enough to really run. @u84: Make sure any and all of your games you decide on are balanced. I would hate to see another game idea ruined because something that could have easily been fixed was over looked. @freaky: i do not care for your game personally. But I would say add one more player to make it 16 instead of 15. If I remember correctly, it's better to have an odd number of people during the day under normal circumstances because then the wolves are always outnumbered during the day. Also, if there is only 1 wolf left then at best the wolf has a 50-50 chance of winning. (assuming you still keep the "wolves must outnumber the humans at the end of the day" rule for a wolf victory.) Activity may be a problem since you will need to rely on lots of talking to get any information. Most people may not be willing to commit to that much. I feel like I'm ripping good ideas away, but these things should be discussed before the actual host voting starts. It may take longer but it's definitely worth it. |

Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
TWG LXXXVII: Cloverfield - If you have not seen this movie, do it right now because it is amazing!
16 Players 4 Wolves - 1 MW, 3 normal wolves 1 Seer 1 Guard 1 Psychic 9 Humans OMG TWIST At the beginning, nobody will get a role PM. In which case, everyone will need to send me a PM designating: 1. Who to wolf (chosen randomly from the 4 wolves), 2. Who to seer, and 3. Who to guard. The results will come back to the people on D1, and everyone will recieve their role PMs. Items? - Oh Yeah! 1 Videocamera 1 Light 1 Gun Each item can only be used once. Items may be sent to another player, but only during the nighttime. Corpselooting - ON Night Talking - ON Cardfilpping - OFF P.S. - I changed the theme because jump_the_bullet probably wouldn't want to miss a [REC] game and he should be back in about a week. Re: TWG LXXXVII Host Sign-ups
Ruritsu, your game seems all sorts of unfair to the humans. The Guard role becomes completely useless, since you then have no way to keep any of the important humans alive. And I still cannot figure out how having a red that can't be killed is anything but horribly game breaking.
