Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
Is the meet up at GameWorks still happening? I'll be home in 30 minutes so I'd actually be able to attend.

We have to expect the unexpected. Delays and such.

Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
Yeah, today we're going to be downtown checking out a few places. Chaz has some ideas so we'll check in with him in a bit. Tomorrow we're all leaving.

Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
Oh, hi. Flipsta kept me up all night (;3) so I slept in. Hammy was so disturbed by it that he slept in the bathroom. Boy was I in for a surprise when I went to take a piss and found a squirrel hiding in the bathroom! We went to GameWorks yesterday which was fun. Sorry BDN for not... actively finding you? Ask us for a phone number next time so you can find us =p. Kibblre and... "Mike" were there with us. I had fun wrecking people at SFIV AE even though I had never played it before haha. Then we went to a mall or something because A The Third wanted to go to some store. I think it was called Lukewarm Topic or something. I got in a fight with the employees. That was fun.
Anyway, today we're going to go to downtown Chicago. First I figure we'll go to Millennium Park and be annoying tourists. The Art Institute is right there so I think we'll go there for a bit. If the trains go anywhere near Soldier Field, I think we'll try to get into the Field Museum later on. If you want to come by, PM HammyMcSquirrel. We'll give you a phone number to call once we get your PM.

I really wish we could have made it but we just couldn't do it financially this time. Maybe if there's one next year we'll be able to go.
Hope you guys are having a blast and we better see some pics after this is over XD |

Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
I hope you guys had fun at GameWorks. I hadn't been able to play DDR in a long while, so that's why I stayed up there the majority of the time. So who was Mike?
Also, I really wanted to try DJ Max Technika, but that group NEVER got off of it for the entire time I was there.

Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
Eheh, well...I think it's safe to say that this whole thing didn't exactly go according to plan.
Thanks to Chaz, Hammy, et al. for putting up with me, ahah. Don't blame ya for not finding me, though...was being too much of a withdrawn dunderhead and already had a couple of awkward cases of mistaken identity. Also sad that I couldn;t make it today. Was fun while it lasted, though. Meow. Welp, now I'm motivated to get back into the FFR community, if that's all I've gotten out of this little adventure outside of a Re>Play card that will probably never see the light of neon again and will eventually die of despair in the hellish oubliette commonly known as "Under My Bed". Jokes aside, I really do need to socialize more and have good friends around me, and FFR was one of the obscenely rare places where I actually felt I belonged. Hopefully it can still be that place. I know I have no convincing excuse for disappearing like I did, and certain directions my life has taken between then and now might give me difficulties with certain people (I'll take this up with the parties who need to know), but right now I'm hopeful in becoming a valued part of FFR again. See you around.

I fell in love with the girl in that group who was a total beast on DDR. And you haven't played for a long time? You were pretty good. I haven't played in years and it was hard to even FC any song. Shamed. Fun meetin' ya though. Quote:
It would have probably been less surprising and short-lived if you have made known you were going to GameWorks bro. But it was nice seeing you out of the blue just like at FFRCon 2 hahaha. I have a few pics. Chaz captured most of the memories though. And yes, I kept him up every night ;3. Probably the entire hotel. Sleep apnea: AWESUM. It was a blast seeing you guys again, winging it in Chicago.

Re: Chicago FFR Meet-up
Ah, I have no clue who it is. I have no sleuthing abilities =D.
And as far as DDR goes, it was stamina that I was having issues with. I used to be able to play ITG for 3+ hours without needing a break, but that's out the window now.
