Re: getting a smartphone & computer
I have an Xperia Play... Don't get one. They are shitty phones and my battery with the dimmest screen on idle with no apps running lasts me about 15 hours max.

Re: getting a smartphone & computer
as far as current smartphones go, your best bets are the GNexus, the Droid Razr Maxx, and the upcoming HTC One X (but seriously import the international version. the US version only has a dual core processor for LTE support, the international version has a QUAD CORE PROCESSOR). If you care about camera quality, don't get the Nexus.
I'm not a fan of samsung's design. Frankly I don't think they could design their way out of a goddamn wet paper bag. It's plastic-y and feels incredibly unsturdy in the hand. THAT SAID the GNexus comes with a beautiful screen and stock 4.0, so it's probably your best bet. Android 4.0 is fucen beautiful and sturdy and actually has GPU acceleration, but at the end of the day you could also install a CM9 rom so it depends on your carrier. |

Re: getting a smartphone & computer
http://pcpartpicker.com to pick parts for the computer you want to build. Combines a bunch of merchants like Newegg, NCIX, Amazon etc and shows you the best prices out of them. Plus has a compatibility check built in (eg pick out an Intel i5-2500k processor and then go to pick a motherboard and it'll only show you socket lga1155 mobos)
