Re: The Wii is Here.
The Wii is kick-ass and is, in my opinion, the most advanced console out to this date, but without real games, like Wario Ware or Zelda Twilight Princes for it, it just isn't as fun. I need a game that'll keep my occupied for a while, a game that you can advance in.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Just wondering if anyone knows if Nintendo posts what VC games will be coming out each week. I just bought 2000 Wii points! and would like to know if what games are coming out. Thanks.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Oh.
Oh well. I decided to go around this morning to stores looking for somewhere with one, since I was planning on going up to Target to score some holiday Jones. Every place had no idea when they'd get more in. The Gamestop at Oakland Mall said about a week, but I don't entirely believe he knew what he was talking about. Also: most places said that they had gotten a shipment in yesterday; WHERE THE **** WERE YOU, ERIC? I WAS COUNTING ON YOU TO LET ME IN ON THESE THINGSSSSSSSSSSSSS Ah well... I found out Best Buy had THP8 for PS2 on sale for like 28$. I got that. Then, I went over to Target and got the LAST ****ING BOX OF THE HOLIDAY JONES and I noticed that they had a copy of Ultimate Spider-man on display. I had been wanting the game for a long time, but could never get it because I had no money (needless to say, I have money now). So basically I was planning on spending 300$ on Wii + game, but instead spent about 50$ and got 2 games I've been wanting for a long time. I can wait longer for my Wii... not like there's anything else expensive for me to blow my hard earned cash on. ps I don't have to buy one of those cards in store for wii points, do I? There is some sort of Internet means of obtaining points, no?

You hear anything like that, let me know. I'm more than willing to get up at a weird time for this.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Thanks SethSquall.
@Afro: You can either buy a Wii points card, or if you have a credit card, you can obtain points that way as well.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Yeah buy them through the Wii with a CC is the best way. It's $1 per 100 points. Otherwise in the store it's usually $1.25 per 100 points + tax.

I HOPE TO GOD that Streets of Rage I/II/III is released as a VC game. Streets of Rage III most. I think it was the best game ever on the megadrive.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Oh hey.
I beat Trauma Center on Normal difficulty. I've gone from hating Paraskevi and Triti to hating Deftera's second form, but still hating Triti. Paraskevi is nothing now. Anything's better than Triti. While I was doing X-1 "Kyriaki", I realized I beat it without using Healing Touch. I cannot believe it. It wasn't even hard. Deftera, on the other hand, required not only Healing Touch, but a large amount of luck. I've A'd both of them so far. Except guess what's next. Triti. =/ Edit: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Oh man, that was so easy it felt like I cheated. Used Healing Touch right at the beginning. Made it nice and big too to make sure I had as much time as possible. Vitals don't drop for a while anyway. Pulled out all the thorns right away, then all the membranes. Patched him up before it even ran out. Edit 2: Ran though again because I got a "C" the first time. Finally had a run where I made no mistakes whatsoever. A-ranked. Did the mission in 10 seconds. Edit 3: Whoo, took down Tetarti. I'm done for the day =) Edit whatever it is: WHOO FOUND THE SOUNDTRACK. pm me Last edited by Squeek; 12-30-2006 at 09:35 PM.. |

Re: The Wii is Here.
Okay, I just downloaded Mario 64 and Super Mario Bros.!
I can finally play Super Mario Bros. without blowing into the cartridge. ps. I hope they eventually put Perfect Dark into the lineup.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Jason, your local retailers are scamming you. A 2000 Wii Points card here is $19.99 minus tax.
Won't happen. Perfect Dark is exclusively the property of Rareware. Nintendo lost the rights to Rare's games featuring Rare characters when they sold Rareware to Microsoft, shifting the ownership of the European second-party development house. Nintendo actually got the better end of the deal, because despite their graphical skill, delay-a-thon, collect-a-thon Rareware only develops crap now.

Re: The Wii is Here.
I always thought the Rareware deal was funny. I mean, wasn't Donkey Kong a Rare game? Or did like Nintendo just let Rare make a game for Donkey Kong? Plus you can Download Donkey Kong Country for the VC.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Nintendo has a special deal with Donkey Kong. I do believe that RARE logos were removed from certain things in rereleases though. Biggest thing in my mind is the RARE logo on Dixie Kong's hat that was present in the SNES games, but is absent in the GBA rereleases.

Re: The Wii is Here.
Nintendo owns anything related to Star Fox or Donkey Kong. Rare just developed some games for the franchise. A perfect example of ownership is apparent in Diddy Kong Racing. In the N64 version, Conker and Banjo were present. Rare decided to make separate franchises with those characters without Nintendo's input, so they became exclusively Rare's property. That is why the characters will (are?) replaced with Kongs in the DS version.
