IQ Games
Ok, here's how it works. I'll post an IQ problem, and the first person to solve it gets the amount of credits of the post's number.
First problem: Four persons are standing in front of a canyon. The only bridge can carry only two persons at once. Because of the darkness the persons have to use a torch. Unfortunately there is only one torch. Whenever two persons have crossed the bridge one person must carry back the torch. Person A needs 5 min for crossing the bridge (one way). B needs 10 min, C needs 20 min and D needs 25 min. Two persons together need the time of the slower one. What is the minimum time for the group to cross the bridge? A and D go over the bridge = 25m A goes back = 5m A and C go over =20m A goes back = 5m A and B go over = 10 Everyone is across the bridge...65 minutes |

The 'Royal Bank of Neopia' keeps all the king's jewels in a safe with six locks. These locks can be opened by typing the correct code number on a control panel.
The control device works as follows: KEY ACTION 0 closes all six locks 1 opens locks 4 and 6 if 2 and 3 are open 2 opens lock 4 if 1 and 3 and 5 are closed 3 switches the state (open/closed) of lock 1 AND switches the state (open/closed) of lock 5 4 opens locks 2 and 5 if 1 is closed closes locks 3 and 6 if 1 is open 5 closes locks 1 and 3 and 6 if 2 is open opens lock 5 if 2 is closed 6 opens lock 1 if 3 and 4 and 6 are closed 7 opens lock 3 if 1 and 3 are closed opens lock 5 if 1 and 3 are open 8 closes locks 3 and 5 if 2 and 3 are open closes locks 4 and 6 if 2 and 3 are closed 9 opens locks 1 and 5 if 2 is closed Note: nothing happens, if not all requirements are met, e.g. if lock 2 is open and 3 is closed pressing the key '1' won't change anything.
