Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
After a first phantom, the will to play goes down. Rather than what it's supposed to do by giving you a swift kick in the ass.

Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
why would the will to play go down? Whenever I get a phantom, I always remember to vote the next time. I think phantom's still serve their purpose. They do for me anyways.

Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
The shadow didn’t even have time to creep up to Death before it was told that it was on its own again. The shadow smiled, glad to have this wonderful opportunity once more. The shadow collected what it wanted to use for the night’s killing, but stopped before it turned to leave.
“Just end it, Death. Do you really think she’ll be happy knowing what went into her resurrection?” Death sighed. “It was never my intention to let her know.” The shadow frowned. “She’s a woman, Death. Women always figure these things out in the end. And when she does, you’ll regret the day you ever considered bringing Arilla back to life.” Death stood up, knocking his chair over in the process. His fists shook with bottled up rage. “Make your kill, Chosen. Quickly now.” He paused to touch his wife’s pale face. “I can feel it…I’m so close to bringing you back…” The shadow shook its head and left the room. In the morning, Sc979 was found in the hallway, his limbs had been burned to ashes, and what was left of him lay twitching on the ground. He was put to a final end by Xception, using a knife to the temple, just as Sc had done for Rzr. Death, still standing in front of his wife body, noticed the color was starting to return to her face, and noticed her eyelids flutter. She was still dead, but life was drawing ever closer. Night has ended, and SC979 is dead. Day will end March 18th, at 9:00 P.M. DST EST Also, here's a list of living players, along with how many phantoms you all have. 'Cause there's a few. HeavyLee (1 phantom) mattc16 (1 phantom) kekeb (2 phantoms) Xception704 (no phantoms)

Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
Sorry everyone. Game was over as soon as Xception cast his vote. Kekeb's safety, Xception's vote, and Heavy's phantom put her over the 50% mark with 2.001 votes.
HeavyLee has been INSTA'D, and that's the game. The Chosen win. Story update coming in about two minutes.

Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
Lee’s eyes widened as Xception called her name. That put her over a 50% vote. She was going to die.
“What the heck are you thinking?” Lee jumped up on the table and leapt at Xception, wrapping her hands around his throat. Xception kicked her off of him and grabbed the nearest chair. He swung it up and over his head and brought it crashing down on Lee’s neck, snapping it instantly. Kekeb jumped back from the table to try and get away from Xception, but he found Matt waiting for him. A split-second later, he looked down to see the tip of a twelve-inch blade protruding from his chest. Matt smiled as he tossed the body to the ground. Xception laughed aloud. “Game Over.” Death walked into the room to find the two dead bodies. “That went well, I’d say.” Both Matt and Xception turned to Death. Matt spoke up. “Well, there’s two of us Chosen left. Who are you choosing to succeed you?” Xception gritted his teeth. “Does it really matter, though? Even if one of us is chosen as successor, we won’t live long enough to see the glory of the position.” Death chuckled. “Exactly right. But since I do have to choose someone, I choose Xception.” Death snapped his fingers, and Matt disappeared. Xception looked around the room, then back at Death. “What the heck did you do to him?” Death shrugged. “I sent him back home. He wasn’t chosen for the position, but that’s no reason to kill the guy. He will become a great assassin, as well as a serial killer, and a war veteran, from the scuffle that’s about to commence down on the surface. Fresh souls.” He continued. “I’d like to welcome you to the long line of Successors, Xception. You are the 2546th successor to Death’s throne. I’d like t-“ There was a thud from Death’s room, and his eyes widened. “Arilla?” He took off to his room, Xception close behind. Sure enough, Arilla was crawling on the floor, trying to get used to being resurrected. Death rushed forward and helped his wife into a nearby chair. “Thank the Gods. It took far to long to correct my past mistakes.” He ran a hand along her cheek. “I promise, I’ll never make such a mistake again.” Arilla tilted her head to the side. “Who…are you?” Tears welled up in Death’s eyes. “Hun…dearesr Arilla, it’s me. It’s Mord-HRK!” Death’s face froze in place, and a thin trickle of red ran across his neck. Moments later, his head crashed to the floor. Arilla looked up at Xception, who held a bloody scythe in his hands. “I’m sorry you had to see that.” And with another slice, he ended Arilla’s life, for the second, and final, time. He headed for the door. With one final glance at the two headless figures, he left the room. “I don’t have forever to wait.” It is now Dusk. Xception stood atop the highest tower in Death’s castle, and watched as the newest body crashed to the ground below. He held the head in his hand up to the sky before dropping it. That had been the 52nd in line. After fourteen months of doing nothing but killing the Successors ahead of him, he was finally so close to taking the throne for himself. But it wasn’t over yet. There was a sound from the main hall. Xception stirred. “That was quick…” He jumped off the tower, grabbed the ledge and swung himself into the room he had been standing on. He took his bloody scythe in both hands and headed for the hall.

Re: jTWG XLIII: Death's Game
I think Myst forgot the alternate ending, it goes something like this: Rzr drops from the rope hanging from the ceiling and finds jokim, megamon, and DrKirth. The four of them meet up with kekeb and bind xception and mattc to a heat register in argo's former room. They turn the heat up and listen to the sickly sound of flesh melting as the Chosen die. I like that ending better
