Renegade takes of that for me :/

Still can't get those jack scratches or whatever you call them.

Say this is a scratch sequence > < > < > < > < that's easy enough.

These really piss me off, > < > < > > > > > I can't do them.

Also when it does this. ><><><><>><><><><>< Look carefully you can see it switches.

And some are like ><><><<><><<><><><><<> HOW THE HELL. It's insane to be able to notice it or pick it up, you can barely see the switch, you just know it must have becuase you've dropped your combo.

I think people looked at this game and thought it was simple and straight forward, but scratching is so much harder than it looks.

It sounds like it'd be fine if it were easier to tell < apart from >. I saw a different dj scrathing game where scratches to the left and right were represented by a waveform, so it was really obvious whenever you were meant to doublescratch.

I guess that's the pinnacle of difficulty in DJ Hero..

I mean in a song with 3 lines or 3 barsets.. you're not going to get much variation in gameplay unless they make it extremely hard to do scratches..

My tip for you DJ Hero players out there is even if you kind of suck that those jacky scratches, all I can say is, really LOOK at the patterns and take your time, don't try to hit them all..
Try mastering bits / pieces of the scratches at a time, and then at the end you will be able to do all of it at once.. think of it as AAAing a song bit by bit..

YAY! Just 5 starred it. I could get a much better score too. The first half of the song I can FC, then if do FC I have 3 bars of euphoria, then when I deploy it I can FC roughly 3-quarters of the song, and that's already way past 5 stars.

I really hate bumping ****, but I wanted to reply to something and I dont think making another thread would be a great idea

guess what the biggest competitive music game is now? Yeah, GH and RB. It's taken over. Because it works as a score based game.
To an extent, yes. They have scores. What I would have liked is if they had a more precise scoring system. Both RB/GH boil down to FC a song/pulling star power at points within and what happens at alot of the gatherings I go to is that everybody FC something or player one gets 3 misses and player two gets 6 but they're both 97% or whatever. I freakin' hate that.

As for what I said about this game being too easy, I have played it (A little) and the scratching can get freakin' insane...but that's more of me being unable to read it and not so much the charts. Add speedmods and I'm sure we'll all be nailing those <<><><>><> bull**** runs.

I've found out I'm fairly good at this. Picked it up literally on black friday and I've five starred Six Days vs Annie's Horn.

Might have some vids up soon.

I'll be on tomorrow, hit me up. Username is Chooferz.

They do, but DLC is uber expensive because they have to pay double licensing fees.

Not sure if you still need help with these, but I've found that by letting go of the button, then pressing it and moving the turntable in whatever direction you need helps me with these quite a bit. You don't drop combo if you unpress the button as long as it's pressed down when you're actually doing the directional scratch.

So for:
> > >

Press button, move forward, let go (and pull the turntable back quickly if you can though this just helps to keep the buttons within reach), press button and move forward again, etc.

Yeah but only works for the slow jacks not the ones without spaces.
