My Thoughtful Opinion
The following is a plead to the country of America and its citizens to change their ways. I will use nothing but the cold hard facts. By the end of this post, I assure you that you will all have seen the error of your ways and live properly, like us Canadians.
First of all, I would like to point out the obvious generalization that all Americans are indeed incredibly obese. Several national studies have concluded that America is one of the fattest countries in the World. You can't argue with statistics, statistics never lie. On a recent school trip to America, I was surrounded by people so large they seemed to contain their own gravitational orbit. Their McDonalds cheeseburgers were almost engulfed by their massive palms. I, as a loving canadian citizen, am genuinely concerned for America's health. If you people don't lay off your deep fried candy, you will die of health complications. It will be bound to happen, you can't avoid it. Heart attacks and Diabetes will creep up on you like a bucket of KFC at dinner. Do you people really want to live like giant slobs, polluting the earth with your existance? Think of your children. With you people and your eating habits, you will be confined do an IV feed before you can have any! When I was down in America for a school trip, I also noticed that all of you people give off the most foul odours imaginable. But of course, everyone knows Americans are slobs and don't believe in cleanliness. Just ask anyone who isn't American! Another serious problem with America is a war hungry country that insists on killing each other and owning the most destructive weapons for personal amusement. It has always been like this for America. People have tried to change it (whith no success of course) due to America's incredibly stubborn nature. America and its love affair with guns only proves that you people are entertained incredibly esasily and care only for materialistic things, not stuff that matters the most. During my trip to America, I saw a middle aged women buying the most expensive clothing I could ever imagine. This is why you people need to seriously lay off the materialistic items. She was abusing her credit card immensly. All Americans OBVIOUSLY do this, and it needs to stop. It's your fault that everyone is being dragged into a rescession. Stop buying so much ****. Your police need to get their priorities straight too. People in America are getting charged with copyright infringement left and right, while much more important crimes are going unnoticed, such as drug deals and murders. It's terrible. I hope now you have seen what Americans truly are. Either you do, or you are a complete idiot, and your opinion isn't valid. |

Re: My Thoughtful Opinion
This is an online dance simulator..something like this belongs in a blog or something of the like. And really, you aren't stating any actual FACTS that can be argued..this definitely shouldn't be in CT.

Move this to TGB so I can post something witty without having to worry about getting banned.
OP is a troll, etc. |

Re: My Thoughtful Opinion
Hi my name is Sully. Welcome to FFR. Before I go off on you, I just want you to know that this is not a Critical Thinking thread.
So who are you. Really? Join Date: Aug 2008 Posts: 2 To bad you didn't have the guts to post this on your main account. You were probably afraid of what people would say to you if you did. Any person with a genuine interest in the subject would have allowed more room for discussion, rather than post a collective of dim witted opinions. You didn't present ANY "cold hard facts". The sad part is, you are probably someone intelligent. I like your username. "RagingFlame". Perfect name for a clever CT troll such as yourself. Last edited by Sullyman2007; 08-2-2008 at 02:42 AM.. |

I assure you I am not an alternate account. I am simply a new user who discovered FFr and wanted to further expand my Opinion.

Re: My Thoughtful Opinion
well that wasn't obvious

Second of all, changing someone's opinions on something (that isn't wrong by any standards) while insulting them is never going to work. Quote:
2) And Canada isn't far behind, dumbass. 35/194 puts you in the top fifth of world's fattest countries. 3) "Statistics never lie" -- You're damn right on this one. Where, exactly, are yours, again? Also, you needed a semicolon or a dash in there. That's a comma splice. Thought I'd let you know. 4) I don't know how things are in Saskatchewan, but I've been to Ontario and Quebec. I saw several McDonald's restaurants up there and they had the same portions as they do here in the States. Quote:
2) "It will be bound to happen" -- when? 3) Exactly how does a bucket of chicken creep up on someone? 4) Clearly, we do want to live like giant slobs. However, don't think for a minute that we're polluting the Earth. 5) How can we think of our children if we don't have any? How can we be confined to an IV thinking of our children that we don't have yet? Also, to* Quote:
2) We "all" do? Did you go around smelling everyone? Personally, I think the country where standards dictate that everyone showers once a day are much higher than countries that don't even have showers. But that's just me. 3) "Everyone knows Americans are slobs and don't believe in cleanliness." Please tell me you're kidding. 4) I'll go ahead and ask a country of people who can't afford showers or cologne or perfume or even soap, thanks. Quote:
2) You need to work on your spelling if you want people to take you seriously. "whith" and "esasily" are not words. 3) How do guns entertain us, exactly? Quote:
2) ... you didn't even present an argument here. We need to lay off the clothing because... why? You want people to be naked? Wouldn't that make it even colder for living in Canada? 3) How is it abuse if she has the money? Did you go up to her and ask her if she was working five jobs just to feed her kids while buying these nice clothes? 4) WE ALL OBVIOUSLY DO THIS. THERE IS NOTHING MORE OBVIOUS IN THE WORLD. 5) Yeah, it's all our fault. Not the fault of increasing gas prices, which drives up the cost of everything else in our society. How can we solve increasing gas prices when they're set by the costs of a barrel of oil in other countries? Quote:
2) Left and right, wow. See, last I heard, barely anybody was getting sued for this. Sorry, get your facts straight and try again. 3) If anything, we're arresting too many drug dealers. Our prisons are absolutely full of them. Quote:
I'm moving this thread to Chit-Chat, as it's nothing more than a rant and produces no facts or information worth debating. Last edited by Squeek; 08-2-2008 at 03:05 AM.. |

Edit: you know what, scratch all of this. After re-reading, the OP is too intellectually arrogant for me to just have a little discussion like that.
Pretty snobbish stuff, indeed. No facts there. Broad generalizations =/= Statistical facts and words of wisdom. Last edited by ledwix; 08-2-2008 at 03:12 AM.. |

Re: My Thoughtful Opinion
When in the hell did I use my staff powers to intimidate you.
Oh no, I did an IP check to verify that you weren't an alt of another user and found out that your address ended in sk.ca. Oh no. There are only like 10 provinces so even a crapshoot guess might've hit. I went ahead and guessed you weren't in the Yukon, Northwest, or Nunavut, so that only leaves a handful of other provinces and I had about a 16% chance of getting it right without even looking. Of course, I didn't believe you were actually Canadian at first since I was certain you were trolling, but hey. Last edited by Squeek; 08-2-2008 at 03:09 AM.. |

Re: My Thoughtful Opinion
You looked up the source of my IP address in my original post to discover that I live in Saskatchewan. You discreetly hid this fact in your post as to say, "Don't mess with me, I know where you live"
Also, to the pizza remark; Pizza is quite healthy for the average person. It contains lots of fibre. |
