Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
I was actually referring to Squeek's problem of having no friends that he can play with.

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
I should mention that I have no family members even slightly interested in playing Guitar Hero 3. When I got my Wii, I took a tally of how many times my family actually played something.
My mom bowled one ball. My dad bowled one frame. My sister never even touched the remote. In the entire history of my family, not once have they played more games than right there. I also have no neighbors my age. My neighborhood is filled with 80-year olds and 8-year olds. I also know a guy who has the game who has a lack of people to play the game (and an extreme lack of singing talent with which to play) who will probably be bringing it to my friends New Year's Eve party where there will be about 10 college kids whom I know all love to play games. I daresay I can get my fair share of gameplay from that experience alone to dictate whether or not I want the whole game or just a microphone. But the reason I hesitate is because I already have the guitar and game+mic bundles on Wii are only $60 currently, so there's no reason to jack it up any higher than that. With a guitar and mic, I can do almost everything I want to do with the game: sing, play lead/bass guitar, and do both at the same time. Yes, the drums are easily the best part of the game, but they're also the cost of another Wii game. And with Mario Kart, No More Heroes, Brawl, House of the Dead, Tales of Symphonia 2 all coming out in 2008, along with all the 2007 games that I was waiting for price cuts on to buy, I'm not going to have much time / money left over for Rock Band. Heck, I still haven't finished playing Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Trauma Center, Umbrella Chronicles, or Zack & Wiki. I have a lot of work to do. |

Squeek, you're such a wet blanket.
And that's coming from me, so you know it means something. Oh and hey I know some mods look at this thread sometimes, could one of you change "RockBand" to "Rock Band" in the title, it's been bugging me

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Ugh.
Everywhere ever is sold out of it, and everywhere's next shipment date is January 15th. Except Future Shop, which is getting it tomorrow, but is charging fifty bloody dollars more than anywhere else in Canada. What a joke. Looks like I'm going to be getting it there though, because the waiting is killing me.

Aren't there any websites functioning out of the US that would ship to Canada?

at this rate it looks like that's the fastest solution
On the other hand, on my hunt today, Zellers was completely and utterly dead, and they'll hold it for me if I call when it comes in. That's probably my best bet.

oh
my god I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I like GH3's Cherub Rock chart better than RB's. :O (only song I've played that I can say that for, which is sad 'cause I really like the song)

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
Well Squeek. Since I'm using the Guitar Hero 2 (360) controller for me Rock band and I've heard talk of it being compatible with the GH3 controller, I'd say you could buy the game standalone and still be able to play it.
And if you feel the need to start up the drum career later, go and buy the kit which isn't coming out till sometime in Janurary./rumors |

Re: RockBand. More Awesome.
I have definitive proof that there is a god and he is sick and twisted.
I was arranging some party thing today and breaking to everyone that I won't have Rock Band. Upon telling this to one friend, he replies, "Uh, actually, Rachel's brother got it for Christmas, and he's fine with her bringing it." I was like YESSSSSSS and call up Rachel. Out of nowhere, she got extremely sick overnight, and can't make it. WHAT THE ****ING **** **** **** GAHHHHH

My mom isn't letting me go to my dad's house (child abuse issues), so I won't be able to play this game for a while. I was good at it too, I could 4-star The Hand That Feeds You on Drums - Hard |
