edit: oh snap I feel stupid
I also asked for hyperactivity to be pulled, but you guys ignored that T_T it could really have been better without a final repetition or a third solo Last edited by CosmoVibe; 06-19-2008 at 01:10 AM.. |

It makes a lot of sence, the patterns are fun as hell, the file is a good sharpnel file in general.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Nice thread idea, JX.
Are the white notes in the last bit of Hero's Theme intentional? The parts where they show up act a lot more like jumps than rolls, especially the last few. Besides that it's a really fun file, even though it's a real pain to PA. GoSW is reeeeeeeeeeally fun. The Divine Suicide of K is fun too, but I agree the ending should be trimmed (well, at least the quickening quarter steps; since they don't fit all that well with the song anyway and the main melody has died away, I don't think it would disturb the flow of the song too much). IIRC, it could be like EW's easier widget version, stopping after the last eighth notes go by.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I remember a long time ago when I used my old account that they asked people when submitting songs here that they should be around 1:30 to 2:30 or something like that. Maybe asking for this again will help this issue.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
The Divine Suicide of K is a widget song, and it was just brought to the FFR game without any change.
Yeah IDAEL song length is between 1:00 and 2:30, this has never been changed. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
oh wait haha blue army isn't in game yet wow I feel stupid
totally ignore that part in the last post I never typed as far as anyone can tell I must have been thinking of something else personally, I'm quite surprised at gosw's success. I honestly thought it would only be an average file since a few parts felt really awkward to me. especially the end lmao |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
crappy alias. whatever. funny that he doesn't know that blue army IS in game. it's just a secret song, so you need x amount of credits to play it. 50k or 60k or something.

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Okay, Slight Introduction to this thread so i dont have to answer any more questions like this down the road:
My favorite in-game file that i've played: vROFL My favorite in-game file that i have: Pimp Slap Least favorite (This one was hard): Silence v1. (It's way too overstepped) . Okay, now that that's over, Discussion time: Who is your favorite Stepfile artist? Personally mine is hi19hi19. (We need to get Destiny GAMMA in-game!) |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
t-rogdor no one can take anything you say seriously anymore
I have the credits necessary to play blue army, and I really do recall playing it, yet it wasn't there when I searched for it on the song list so I automatically assumed that it didn't exist. white notes in hero's theme are intentional. even though they are unnecessary, they're not particularly annoying hey tasselfeet, you have a crappy alias too |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
That new file "SYNC" is what FFR is all about even its an easy file but when that runningman jump thing starts a smile takes its place on my face
well done also i am sad about the fact it will be a hard time for me to enjoy that new classical file Last edited by heyitsmee; 06-19-2008 at 07:26 AM.. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
SYNiC, if IIRC is the right name.
Also 2:30-3:00 minute files are totally OK when submitted to FFR right? |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
Analysis of R2 songs.
[Theme of the Dragoon Knights] AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>====== TL >>>>>>>>>>========== FN >>>>>>>>>>>========= basically steps are catching all main melodies, could be more PR though. kinda short but nice easy song. [Utopia] AC >>>>>>>>>=========== TL >>>>>>>>>>========== FN >>>>>>>>>>>========= Well steps are basically going with some part of the music, but it absolutely lacks PR and consistency. [SYNiC] AC >>>>>>>>>>>>======== TL >>>>>>>>>>>========= FN >>>>>>>>>>>>>======= It has some misrhythms and more 32nds are needed, but it's decently enjoyable and the way of stepping is nice for this song. [Crystal Wind] AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>======= TL >>>>>>>>>>>========= FN >>>>>>>>>>>>======== Most steps follow the music well. The melody part of this song isn't very audible, and felt patterns are a bit random overall. [Sonata quasi una Fantasia] AC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>====== TL >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>===== FN >>>>>>>>>>>>======== Good sync for a song with dynamic BPM, PR could be better but is fine on most noticeable parts. In some parts at beginning there's "lacking the first note" syndrome, which is weird, and some patterns in this file are kinda gay for playing though. low FMO, around 77. |

Re: Ingame Songs/Stepfiles Discussion Thread
I wasn't sure about that first note thing. The way I stepped it was in conjunction with the right hand of the piano, which doesn't play the first beat of the arpeggio measures.
Plus, if I had, it would've been 642864286, and starting one note on the other side seemed kinda odd. |
