I'll start with Cel's post
1) Like I said, I thought it could have something to do with danceguy's post. Also predicting night kills is rather difficult when I should probably be the one targeted. If I was able to decide after eod (Remember I have to decide 24 hours before eod) I probably would have wanted an investigative to claim yesterday so I could save them but I had already chosen when I decided to come out with the angel power. I still think that's a good idea today btw because the worst case scenario is that I am mafia and town trades a kill on the investigative for me. Best case is I'm town and we get an investigative and mafia are basically forced to kill me. 2) If I try to say I saved someone then I have to confirm someone as town by outing my save and never give out the Mysic info. That is god awful play and I don't understand how this could even be a question. The only way I could ever do that is if I was mafia (and I totally would as mafia fyi) 3) I wanted claims first because not knowing the number makes claiming much more risky for mafia. That being said I don't think there is any chance of me getting enough trust from town to make that strat effective. The number of actions used last night was 4 (5 including mine). This means over 50% of the game used actions last night. I don't see any world where mafia didn't make a kill with that number. I also don't think mafia have many roles because I'm the only semi-powerful role for town so far so it doesn't seem like town is stacked (John Doe is pretty trash but I love it). Also mafia get to know the gimmick which I imagine is helpful information since we don't seem to have the slightest idea so that probably factors into the number and power of their roles. I'll get to your other two questions later in the post but I want to go over a couple things while we are on the subject of claiming. There is very little connect from character to role. Cordelia and Sumia (our neighbors) both died on the mission they were introduced for me (made me lol that they both died early here) They have the strongest connection but the only thing they have is that they are both pegasus knights. I could see the guess being made after one of them flipped but I don't think anyone could have got it before the flip. Lissa (Mafia) is the first cleric you get in the game and before the game started I just assumed that would be our medic role. Olivia (John Doe) is the most different. In game she is a dancer that gives a character an extra move in a turn. Nothing connects her to John Doe. I can't give specifics for my role but I know that given my power set I would have not been able to guess which character it belonged to. In short, do your homework before you claim but most likely a character guesser is going to have a really hard time trying to figure out who you are. 4) I did a little on it but it wasn't much. Basically I liked that your reads list showed your progression on everyone and it consisted pretty much entirely of things I remembered you saying before. My biggest slight against you was that I thought your read on me was flipping a bit much to make sense. You started when you joined giving me slight scum, switched me to town, switched me back over the course of the next day, then switched me to town again (last one made more sense because blue). Being able to see that you did have a lot of natural progression really helped me see a world where you are town and just had trouble reading me. 5) I have no idea. My only idea was that using my other power tonight might do something but I got nothing special out of it. Ind mentioned that anti-town could be as high as 5 and that is absolutely ridiculous. Sure it's theoretically possible but it is HIGHLY unlikely. First off I doubt that there is a third party or at least one that uses actions. The extra kill on the first night was most likely a lucky character guess or a one time mafia vigi or something. If there was a third party with kp there would have definitely been another kill last night. Secondly I really doubt the mafia have that many powers at their disposal. They probably have a character guesser of some sort, possibly a day kill power (could be the character guesser) given that my angel power specifically mentions blocking day kills and maybe some sort of vigi. They can't have a role blocker or I definitely would have been blocked, can't have a miller, can't have a godfather, can't have a janitor. They really don't have a lot of options for roles. I expect the mafia made up 2 of our 4 (5) actions last night. that means there are 2 unaccounted for actions remaining. That is a lot of towns and we only need 5 for auto assuming 1 kp every night. Oh my save was on Indheart night 2 btw. Nothing much to say there. This post ended up being a mess of thoughts trying to get in each other's way. I read back through it and everything makes sense to me but if you need some clarification don't hesitate to ask. |
