Lol skill token idea
Man, this would be a sweet idea for a skill token. 11-0-0-21-0 Excite Bike, 1 combo.
It should have Lumph's avatar as the image because people might run their gametotals up trying to get it... XD |

Re: Lol skill token idea
Actually, you might want to try nev's avatar, as he has a higher gamecount and actually uses Excite Bike as his level of choice.
Anyway, pretty funny idea. Last edited by Solomine Gray; 11-27-2007 at 09:19 AM.. |

Re: Lol skill token idea
Yeah. It took me about 50+ tries once I got 12-0-0-20-0 2c. I thought, "Hey, I should lol a run on this song and propose it as a skill token requirement." So several comboflags, under-missflags, 10-0-0-20-0 falures, blackflags, and booflags later, I got it.
XD Nev avatar token lol. Doesn't that make it not really a skill token though? It takes skill to fail last note with 10 fewer perfects than misses, no goods/avs/boos, and without a combo of more than one. The notes you hit literally have to be PERFECT to avoid the 2+ combo. |

Re: Lol skill token idea
Oh my, shame on me, I hadn't played Excite Bike yet. Oh well, I did this on my first shot.
http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...eplay/1648170/ Also, it looks like you are dying to me, but I guess that doesn't really matter as far as a token is concerned. |

Re: Lol skill token idea
8-8-8-8-8 would be IMMENSELY difficult.
It would be so tough that I believe some people would want to murder you in your bathtub for even bringing that up. Lol... seriously. Plus we already have a continuity token (Judgement Days). 11-0-0-21-0-1c is like the perfect fail or something... And yeah we already have Destiny v2 as a perfect imperfection, but it doesn't come close to failing you, and it's way too long. On a 9-second song, it's not nearly as painful to mess up because you're at the results screen in a blink, autofail or no. Excite Bike needs near-flawless arrow selection to keep a single combo. Moonbeam's token is easy; you have your little one-side hitting trick on that and Destiny's token as well. Unless someone can find a sided trick to this one, it might truly baffle even Rubix (hi). |

Re: Lol skill token idea
not too bad but it would be categorized as an anti-skill token.

Re: Lol skill token idea
That's fine with me.
I would think this would also be aimed more towards the skilled players, and the more analytical-minded. The thing about the 1 combo is that if FFR doesn't register a miss before you hit a later arrow, it makes you have a 2 combo instead of one. What this seems to require is a perfect sense of miss registration, along with, if need be, the ability to hit the late perf frame on near-command. The 21 misses also require proper spacing to avoid failing the song while still not getting registered for 2 notes in a combo. Finally, add the 11 perfects and you have a fairly tough anti-skill token that would still not be overbearing (Zephon lol) |

Re: Lol skill token idea
getting 0-16-16-0-0 c32 is so annoyingly hard to do... i remember trying like 200+ times and getting every possible permutation around it except it.
