Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Beethoven Virus is better than some of the charts being accepted today.
I'm 100% serious about that, too. It was WAY ahead of its time and flows really well. Someone doing a v2 would probably have to over- or under-step it compared to the one in the game because, while the one in the game certainly has a few minor issues, anything that corrects them but leaves the fun parts intact would be rejected for being too similar. That's just a testament to how few issues the current version has, IMO.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
+1 for a legacy v2 stepping event/batch. The game sorely needs these, and it'd be cool to see a few in the next tournament.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Beethoven Virus was good although a bit easy so I preferred to play other songs.
I also thought NeoMax, Molto Vivace, and a few others were well done. Edit: I want a legacy stepping event, too. But where can I download legacy songs?

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Legacy songs like those from DJ Kankaoh are often very hard to find. I honestly don't know where you'd find them now. I would like someone to step a proper version of Pwned!

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Their quality is like 60kbps or something though.
Also Pwnd! was a file with a retarded jack at the end with a zeroframer on the last note |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Also if you guys are serious about the legacy batch idea I could rip the mp3s from all the .swf files, but just a word of warning: the sound quality is pretty bad to begin with. Antinomie had a higher quality mp3 of Euphoria and his other songs on his new site nemystic.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
Herogashi intentionally put in 300 BPM 64ths for the zeroframers in Chrono Trigger. The file runs at 300 BPM 8ths putting aside the 64th minijacks.
Back in legacy times there weren't any simfiling standards. A stepfile recorder was used where the person tapped and it worked like Ctrl+R in stepmania, and clearly this caused the offsync nature of the files. The alternative was to use notepad for the dwi files. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
I never understood why Pwned! was a hidden song when we clearly had permission from DJ Kankaoh. I've asked this many times before, and my question was always dodged.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread v2
You don't want Pwnd! back in game, especially for public ranks. Like I mentioned it has a stupid Revolutionary Etude jack at the end (but faster) and then a zeroframer on the last note right at the end of the jack.
