HALP! Nintendo Wi-fi Connector
Ok, so I've done every thing I possibly can with my wii, but it just won't get connected to the internet. I went to the store, bought the wi-fi connector, and it doesn't work.
I've gotten it installed, and it recognizes my wii's existence, but won't connect with the system. I get up to the point in the connection screen where it tests the connection, but it just fades out. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it? Or can anyone just help me? Thanks in advance for any assistance. |

Re: HALP! Nintendo Wi-fi Connector
On the Wi-fi Connector tool does it list your Wii and have at least a one-bar signal strength?
The screen fades on the Wii when it's been inactive for a set amount of time. Do you have a really slow connection? And if you have a firewall make sure to give the wi-fi connector and the connector tool full access.

Check fire wall settings. I used to get a problem that a signal shows but it just fades away. I found out it was connecting but then my firewall was stopping it continue.

That means that the wii is close enough to the computer right? I'll play around in my firewall tonight. I have two running, so I'll disable one and try again. |

Re: HALP! Nintendo Wi-fi Connector
Kill your firewall, if you have one.
If not, disable windows firewall, and other pointless programs for a while- until you get the wii connected...

Re: HALP! Nintendo Wi-fi Connector
Alright, I'm offically connected. Turned out to be my firewall. Now all I have to do is figure out how to put the connector into the "safe" list. Thanks everyone for your help.
