Re: DAW
I'm curious if anyone else threw down cash for their DAW like I did mine.
Not gonna judge if you acquired it through elicit means though, music software pricing is usually really really really insane |

Re: DAW
Academic versions aren't bad, Logic Pro X is fucking ridiculous for 200 bucks, great deal compared to others

Anywho, FL Studio. It just seems to be the easiest DAW to start with. |

Re: DAW
FL Studio and Komplete 7 and Razor are really the only things I've purchased. I don't use much else anyway.

Re: DAW
Long ago paid an arm and leg for Reason 2.5, which is the software I was first introduced to (well, Reason 2.0) back in high school. Let's say that I have yet to understand the back-side rack feature where you can wire digital hardware to manipulate your sounds...

Re: DAW
What exactly can and can't you do with the trial version of FL? I downloaded it and it seems like there's a lot of stuff that comes with it.

Re: DAW
Not too much AFAIK. (that's useful) One thing is that in the demo, you cannot save your project but you can render it. If you close your project/lose power (like I have once) you will lose all the current work on that song. (which really sucks.)
As for misc things, I do know you can't use any type of input device. (or so says the help docs. Unless you buy it of course...) I also believe extra plugins such as "hardcore?" I forget the name exactly. It doesn't work fully for a song. It disables itself every minute? Otherwise, I guess just extra content? ~ SpoOkyMagician |

Other than that, I think the rest is pretty much the same as if you were to get the full version. I don't know about demo plugins (I don't remember how demo Sytrus limits itself), but I don't think I've heard of anyone that uses Hardcore... Last edited by Sgt. Traveler; 09-11-2013 at 10:33 PM.. |

But different DAWs, different workspaces. Some takes more time to learn than the others. |

Re: DAW
My bad, your right. I am thinking of the older version. In the newer one's you can save but not reload. However, in the older versions, you could not save.
As for the hardcore thing, it's part of the mixer my bad. It makes songs really loud/deep/hardcorish sounding. Yeah, I don't use FLS that much... ~ SpoOkyMagician |
