Added the Polish and German language Google Docs to the main post, fixed the country code for German and and fixed some font sizing in Polish and Italian.
In other news: It's now possible to add/change/remove a language without changing the engine, as the flags are generated by what languages are available. Clicking on them will update the interface. Last edited by Velocity; 10-21-2011 at 10:38 AM.. |

Re: Language
Hmm... I have a question and I hope it's okay to ask here. http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...15838822_n.jpg What does this character mean? It looks a lot like the kanji for "English" but... it might not be because the top portion is separated rather than connected. Anyone know?

Also, the correct spelling for replay is リプレイ. Just as a thought, the English option for 'replay' and 'play again' is kind of iffy because replay could mean to play the song again. In the Japanese translation jimerax posted, it is clear that 'replay' is 'view the current play' and 'play again' is 'play once more'. 統計データ could be changed. I don't have any alternatives, but it just doesn't seem like the right word for 'stats'. 新着情報 is fine just the way it is since it is specific to internet sites. Nevertheless, ニュース is just as good for this as well. I'm not too fond on translating genres, mainly because they can read most of the genres even in English (With some exceptions such as 'Legacy' - it's not really a genre). Then again, it may be a good idea to translate it for those who don't have a clue about the English language. Other than that, I think it looks pretty legit |

Re: Language
Damnit, I would have taken Japanese. I'm conversational in Mandarin, but I'm not sure that would help with this, as I probably don't know all the vocab. My parents are fluent in 5 languages each, are you just looking for new languages to have it in or any specific one?

Re: Language
I would assume any of the more popular languages are definitely a must, other than that he'd probably take what he can get. I wouldn't think that it would be too much of a problem to have a good number of languages for it.

Re: Language
Changed a few things in French (I'm native speaker):
-"Jetons"(Token)=>"Médailles" : a "jeton" is more like a coin you use for a cash machine, doesn't make a lot of sense in the context. -"Jetons de compétences"(Skill Token)==>"Médailles de Skill" : "Jetons de récompenses" sounds terribly artificial plus it doesn't make much sense. I choose to keep Skill because it's a very common used term in France for video games. "Compétences" is more used in a professional way. -"Manqué"(Miss)==>"Raté" : Basically the same meaning but "raté" is way more used than "manqué". -"Combo Maximum"==>"Combo Max" -"Reprise Vidéo"==>"Replay": "Reprise Vidéo": don't know where it came from, does'nt have muche sens. In the same way that "skill", "replay" is a common term in France in video gaming and even outside, and there is no direct translation to it. Edit : For this one, it depends : if <Message id="results_play_again"> means play again, but a new song, then it's "Jouer encore", but if it means play again the same song, then it's "Rejouer". -"Jouer encore"==>"Rejouer": Not much to say here, the term wasn't correct. That's pretty much it, except maybe for the "Ambitieux" and "Très Ambitieux", i tought of "Complexe" and "Tres Complexe", but not sure about this one... Re: Language
Well pretty much what Frederic has said except for one thing :
"Médailles de Skill" sounds horrible xD Skill is an english word and therefore should not be included. Even though it is widely used by gamers, it IS slang. It would be like translating "Miss" into "Tabarnak!". It should be "Médailles de Compétences" As for "Replay", I have yet to find a translation for that. In Québec we say "Reprise vidéo" but I don't think in France there is a translation for that. Last edited by Artic_counter; 10-25-2011 at 08:03 PM.. |

As for replay, I must admit that I've never heard of "Reprise Video", must be a Québec thing . I think it's fine to keep Replay, I really can't think of another word for it really . Maybe "Revoir" or "Revoir la partie"... |

Re: Language
A replay could be "Enregistrement", (i.e. "Save"), cause that's basically what it is.

Re: Language
I can do Indonesian, but would you rather formal or casual wording?
edit: Doesn't matter, there's not many variations for the words used anyway. Now the question is: Do you want Indonesian? edit again: eh, what the hell- edit AGAIN: Fixed a couple of words that didn't seem right; used more 'popular' words. Code:
BlackWebb Indonesian: <Game> <Language id="en" en_name="Indonesian" real_name="Bahasa"> <!-- Used for the login Screen --> <Message id="login_name"> <text>Login</text> </Message> <!-- Used for the title menu --> <Message id="menu_play"> <text>MAIN</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_multiplayer"> <text>MULTIPLAYER</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_stats"> <text>STATISTIK</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_options"> <text>PILIHAN</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_news"> <text>BERITA</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_back"> <text>Balik</text> </Message> <Message id="menu_genre_select"> <text>Pilhan gaya</text> </Message> <!-- Genre Title --> <Message id="genre_0"> <text>Dance</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_1"> <text>Dance <font color="#00B0FF">2</font></text> </Message> <Message id="genre_2"> <text>Funk</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_3"> <text>Arcade</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_4"> <text>Rock</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_5"> <text>Klasik</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_6"> <text>Macam macam</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_7"> <text>Rahasia</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_8"> <text><font color="#AEFF9C">Dibeli</font></text> </Message> <Message id="genre_9"> <text>Token</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_10"> <text>Hip-Hop</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_11"> <text>Ketrampilan Token</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_12"> <text>Lagu Warisan</text> </Message> <Message id="genre_13"> <text><font color="#FFC58C">Favorit</font></text> </Message> <!-- Song Difficulties --> <Message id="difficulty_1"> <text>Termudah</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_2"> <text>Buat Pemula</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_3"> <text>Sangat Mudah</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_4"> <text>Mudah</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_5"> <text>Sedang </text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_6"> <text>Rumit </text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_7"> <text>Rahasia (D)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_8"> <text>Sangat Sukar(VD)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_9"> <text>Menantang (C)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_10"> <text>Sangat Menantang(VC)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_11"> <text>Hanya Master (FMO)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_12"> <text>Hanya Guru(FGO)</text> </Message> <Message id="difficulty_13"> <text>Hanya Stepmen(FSO)</text> </Message> <!-- The Options Menu --> <Message id="options_scroll"> <text>Gulir</text> </Message> <Message id="options_scroll_up"> <text>Naik</text> </Message> <Message id="options_scroll_down"> <text>Turun</text> </Message> <Message id="options_scroll_left"> <text>Kiri</text> </Message> <Message id="options_scroll_right"> <text>Kanan</text> </Message> <Message id="options_speed"> <text>Kecepatan</text> </Message> <Message id="options_orb_movement"> <text>Gerakan Bola Dalam Menu</text> </Message> <Message id="options_exit"> <text>Keluar Pilihan</text> </Message> <!-- Text displayed during gameplay --> <Message id="game_amazing"> <text>Menakjubkan</text> </Message> <Message id="game_perfect"> <text>Sempurna</text> </Message> <Message id="game_good"> <text>Bagus</text> </Message> <Message id="game_average"> <text>Biasa</text> </Message> <Message id="game_miss"> <text>Meleset </text> </Message> <Message id="game_boo"> <text>Boo</text> </Message> <Message id="game_combo"> <text>Combo</text> </Message> <Message id="game_max_combo"> <text>Maksimum Combo</text> </Message> <Message id="game_score"> <text>Skor</text> </Message> <!-- The results screen --> <Message id="results_rank"> <text>Hasil rank</text> </Message> <Message id="results_best_rank"> <text>Hasil Terbaik</text> </Message> <Message id="results_grade"> <text>Kelas</text> </Message> <Message id="results_replay"> <text>Ulang Lagi</text> </Message> <Message id="results_play_again"> <text>Main Lagi</text> </Message> </Language> </Game> Last edited by supermousie; 11-8-2011 at 03:04 AM.. |
