No formal release yet since it's still nowhere done. But feel free to download from the github repo.

NOTE: By default, StepMania will only save up to 3 personal scores to your profile (and lower ranked scores will be removed when the limit is exceeded). To change this, go to "Arcade Options" and change "Max Player Scores" to a higher value.

As for the reason why:

New radar category that grabs the actual # of notes instead of taps (treats jumps/hands, etc. as 1) which is terribly inaccurate for anything that isn't pad files.
(It also allows for a more proper raw-nps calculation)

That nightly build has *problems* in TimingData that make some arrows unhittable or judged wrong. I figured out a fix for the problem yesterday, dunno when the build bot will decide to make another build. I'll post an explanation in the release thread.

Done with finals now so I guess I can work on this a bit more. o/

Some updates since the last post:

4:3 Support (some elements are rather squashed-down though.)
Display Judge/Life difficulty on evaluation.
osu!'s Error Bar for ScreenGameplay
Ported scoreboard over from the ultralight edit.
A half-done "Simfile" tab for ScreenSelectMusic.
slightly skinned ScreenSelectProfile
Movable backgrounds for selectmusic/eval screens (Literally the parallax feature on osu. Also mouse input last time I checked was windows only so I'm not sure how it'll behave on a non-windows OS)
+bunch of minor layout changes and fixing overflowing texts,etc.

Would it be possible to include the nicer, softer sounds from the ultralight hack? Or can I just move them myself? I also don't quite get the judge bar in musicselect - is it a graph of your best score represented by your marvs, perfs, etc?

If you want some help with simple graphics I might be able to make a few. I'd really like to see this get released as a full widescreen theme. I've been really hoping a lightweight widescreen one would show up

You can probably move them yourself, just make sure to move all the REDIR files as well.

Yep, it's the graph of the judgments made for whatever the top score is.
(which may not be the #1 score for the selected scoretype if you use anything other than percentage scoring.)

Not sure if I'll need it for now since the theme is currently being done mostly with quads (literally rectangles). but I'll make sure to ask when I do.!



Also nightly build is no longer required for the theme since SM 5.0.8 just got released today.
(Let me know if anything breaks in that version)

This theme is gonna be so awesome! I got the sounds moved, no issue there.

However... updated to 5.0.8. Installed theme. And then the issues started.

This was in song select. Happens on every song I scroll over


Then song start up


Then when it finishes. The timer at the bottom is also longer than the chart time maybe?


And finally results screen


Also my options menu doesn't give me anywhere to change the theme back lol

Maybe I installed something wrong? It is entirely possible, as it's 1 in the morning and I'm ultra tired.

Could you go to the other tab on screenselectmusic to check if you're actually running 5.0.8 (or the main screen of the default theme.)
(You can switch tabs by pressing whatever is mapped to the select key.)

The directory containing the executable was moved to a different folder in 5.0.8 and it's possible that you're still launching from a older ver.


RadarCategory_Notes is something that was added shortly after 5.0.7. I have no idea what GetUpdateRate is for, but it was added a while ago apparently.

The default options menu was kinda re-done for 5.0.8 and it'll be under:
Display Options > Appearance Options > Theme

The executable for the windows version was moved to bin because wolfman was having troubles with cmake. So you're certainly running the old executable.

So I downloaded the new version and copy/pasted everything into my SM folder, except for songs and themes.

I have no bin folder (it wasn't in the zip anyways), so the only .exe I have is from the older version
