critical thoughts on critical thinking
I spend my day in many ways like socrates. I ask questions to many people most i do not expect an answer but amoung my freind i do.
I ask how who why when. throughout the day i think whats wrong with this or that i discuss it with people with myself with god etc. although i do this and do not just go about all day accepting life it is all merly for uderstanding. the problem of critically thinking is that yes "I" and "you" know but the people who need to know dont. And while we may figure out what it right wrong etc the people who can change it dont know. so as a suggestion to you i recommend sending your thought to your local congress and senete man/woman. even if you belive in another form of government you must go through the current one in power to change it or anything else. do not just think but act. A jump form synap to synap is good but with out it jumping to the muscles nothing is trully happened but a waste of time and energy.

It is called the furtherment of knowledge and the intelectual pursuit. For many of us, it is not a waste of time.

i dont mean its a waste of time i just mean that once you know the truth spread it to the ppl it matters to.
example: i thought about it for a day and i belive the death penalty is ok -----> now i tell ten freinds ----------->now i tell my cogressman so what i know is right will try to be aced out as right just trying to improve the world lol

i think i am the same way
and for instance, my sister has been helping me study for this big math exam (which i just took and was piss easy) and when she would say (just as an example) use the forumla a^2 + b^2 = c^2 and i would say, why? and she would say "JUST BECAUSE" and then i would search out for an answer, and i wouldnt accept it till i figured out why. So, dont worry, you are not alone

I call what I do the Deep Thought Black Hole, because I find it hard sometimes to stop thinking so much and it costs me lots of unfinished homework. Youre not alone, lightdarkness. But as far as formulas go, I find it easier to stick with the given formula becuase that formula is more often than not the only way to get the correct answer.

Well to me, my mind think about the problem first. If any guess i can make of the answer is close or correct, then followed by the use of the given formula. As go for Riddles and puzzles. It makes you wonder, and think of a way to solve it. When inside you have the feeling of wanting to know what is the answer. You can look at the puzzle with precise detail, to only find that the answer was so simple.

Re: critical thoughts on critical thinking
Actually, I've got some people like that in my life... and I'm often more impressed by how much they talk about their own thinking than by the actual insights they share.

Okay, seriously, another three year bump? This time for a three-line post of an anecdote?
Don't bump dead threads if that's all you have to say, and don't bump three-year-old threads for any reason, really. --Guido http://andy.mikee385.com |
