ITT: We discuss and list our favorite movies of all time.
The Departed: It's a straight up badass Mafia movie. Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Walhberg, Martin Sheen. Major actors in this movie, I think one of the best put together stories/cast ever I've ever seen. The acting is so intense and amazing I think I've watched that movie 5 times since I bought it.
InB4Inception.

Apocalypse Now or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, probably. I'll have to choose by genre.

Pulp Fiction was good as well.
Another good one IMO would be the Rambo series, including the new one.

also inception was good but like, just that. especially when, with its concept, it couldve been spectacular.
in terms of this year, the best three movies so far are, in this order waiting for superman the social network scott pilgrim none of which are as good as the best three of last year the hurt locker up in the air a serious man which were all AWESOME |

My favorite has to be either Fight Club or Oceans Eleven.
I love George Clooney (and Brad Pitt *girlish squeal*), not to mention the rest of the cast in OE. I thought it was one bloody good movie. |

I didn't actually like Scott Pilgrim that much. Maybe I'm missing something since I was distracted when I watched it, but it fell flat for me.

Re: ITT: We discuss and list our favorite movies of all time.
only two movies (social network and waiting for superman) were definitively great this year
scott pilgrim got a spot on my list pretty much because of how much i enjoyed the beginning as with many comedies (see: kickass (though scott pilgrim was better)), the movie was funniest/best when it was sort of wandering around between plots/characters in the beginning--as it went on, it never got bad or mediocre but it just sort of flatlined to "good". still, pretty great movie overall. |

Tie between A Tale of Two Sisters, Millennium Actress, and The Fall. A Tale of Two Sisters is horror done right (such a shame that the American remake missed the point by a mile), Millennium Actress is brilliantly complex and touching (despite being animu, hurhur), and The Fall is GORGEOUS, with only a few bad actors holding it back.
