Now that would be awesome. and it kinda makes cense since it works great for the DS. So i'm guessing it will be kinda like a GC controller except with a touch screen in the middle or something like that. Does that make cense?

Don't triple post dude, use the edit button. I'm thinking that it's only backwards compatible with the home consoles, not portables. Or they could do what they did with the GC and have something to attach to the Revolution itself.

first of all, it has been stated that it won't use a touch screen. However, i think there were some translation issues, and that some sort of touch screen will be featured to some extent. And yes nforcer, the REVOLUTION controllers will be completely wireless, but just as a brainstorm, i said that they could simply add a controller port for gamecube controllers, if the new controllers are too radically different to be used to play all the past games. (I also read somewhere that Sony and Xbox may include some ports on the back of the console, just in case for some reason certain circumstances you can't use wireless...just speculation though.)

Check that out. If you don't feel like reading that whole page, one of the Q and A's is: "Q: Will Revolution feature screens on the console or the controller? A: No. At a June 2004 analyst briefing in Japan, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said, "We have no intention of making a two-screen console akin to the [Nintendo] DS." "

There's not much to be known about the controller, except that its wireless and will be able to play NES, SNES, N64, and GCN games. Sounds interesting to me. I bet it'll have like 7 handles. And wash your car.

We already know about the controller? Explain?
Oh, and some older news as well: The Revolution will NOT support high-definition...Or that's what they're saying at this point. Doesn't bother me, because I don't plan on buying a high-def TV for quite a few years still. And it means the system and games will be cheaper to make, which is always a plus.

Just watch Nintendo pull one of their famous moves where they take a great idea and turn into a lame gimmick. And not release any good games for it for about a year. I wish I wasn't saying this though, as I'm a pretty big nintendo fan.
I mean, the DS is doing pretty bad. Most of my friends are returning their DS and getting a PSP.

I honestly think the only reason the DS is still outselling the PSP is due to the fact that the PSP is so damn expensive. But as of now, the Revolution is looking to be my first purchase of a next-gen console just for the retro-games option. |

They didn't include the GC games in that list, or is it just that they can play the discs and not have to download them?

The Revolution is backwards-compatible with GCN games, so there's really no need for Nintendo to make them available for download.

I think it'd be cool if they made the GB/GBA games available for download as well. Seeing as I've never bought any iteration of the gameboy, and don't emulate, so I still haven't played the GameBoy Zelda games...and I'd love to.

If you haven't played anything Game Boy at all, then you have seriously missed out on some truly good games. The Golden Sun series, Advance Wars series, and Pokémon series (shut up, they're good), just to name a few, were works of pure genius that haven't been recreated in their full glory (yet), on consoles.
The reason I think Nintendo isn't allowing Game Boy or, even more so, Game Boy Advance games, is because the games for their Game Boy line is far from dying out. Plus, the library of Game Boy games alone is massive compared to that of the NES, SNES, and N64. Although I don't think Nintendo plans to release every single game for those systems in their download feature for the Revolution, it may also certainly play a factor. If they see success with their download feature, I wouldn't be surprised to see GB/GBC downloads on their next home console (that is, after Revolution). I still think that GBA games are too new (note that Nintendo has stressed that the DS and GB lines are separate, and DS is not a replacement for GBA). Maybe we'll know more come the next iteration of the Game Boy. And no, I don't mean Micro.

Wow Revolution has the most posts.
Anyhow Nintendo cant allow for all games for the NES SNES ect. to be downloaded... Why you ask? Simply put Nintendo didn't make all the games for those systems and can't let them be downloaded with out the permission of the creaters.

just like the Gamecube i predict a very horrible ending. Nintendo has given us so little. ATI graphics and an IBM processor.
