A Talk With God
“Have you ever had to explain something to someone that is beyond words, or language, or speech, rendering it unexplainable?”
“I represent the unexplainable, I would not have to use words to explain myself for I am the explanation itself.” “But, you aren’t what I’m trying to explain. You exist within what I am trying to explain and therefore you are only part of the explanation, not the explanation.” “Nothing is beyond me, there can be nowhere that I reside in, for I would have created that place.” “If you reside in nowhere, wouldn’t you be nothing?” “I am neither nothing, nor something. I am merely the concept of creation.” “But I am talking to you, I, we, have received “gifts” from you. How can a concept have a physical manifestation?” “These “gifts” that you have received have only been tagged with my name. You have created these gifts yourself. You merely used me to help achieve those gifts. “Where did I come from?” “My initial creation. The smallest subdivision of your chemical makeup you could reach.” “That is also a concept though. In this world you created you can not reach zero by subdividing a value. You could infinitely subdivide my chemical makeup.” “And what would that look like?” “I don’t know. You could zoom in forever, as you could zoom out forever. The universe is not only infinite in one direction.” “And so what does that mean?” “That I am a physical manifestation of a concept...” “And do you exist?” “Well, now I’m not so sure.” “We are having this conversation aren’t we?” “Yes, but you are not a personality, you are speaking from my mind, from my vocabulary. If you exist, then I exist, but no one can prove nor disprove your existence.” “So do I exist?” “I don’t believe in God.” “Then what do you believe in?” “My conciousness. The difference between me and someone who is not me. The separation between my chemical self and my conscious self. The “depression” I feel because of it.” “None of those are physical things.” “I thought we already disproved that there are any physical things?” “No. We disproved the concept of physical things. We came to the realization that everything is conceptual based on your knowledge of the world.” “Then where did I come from?” “Now that’s the question isn’t it?” “If you created me, wouldn’t you have the answer?” “Well, the answer would be me. You came from me.” “And what are you exactly?” “The concept of creation.” “That’s not what I meant. With what am I having this conversation with right now.” “That is unimportant, and unanswerable. You, afterall, are the one coming up with this conversion.” “But that doesn’t answer the question of how I am even able to have a conversation at all.” “Why do you need an answer to that question? Why is the acceptance of such an extraordinary feat so hard to attain?” “Because you made me that way.” “How could I have made you if I am a concept you created that you don’t believe in?” “You couldn’t have...” “And what am I?” “The concept of creation... You are nothing. Or at least, made up of nothing.” “Correct. That does not, however, mean that you are made up of only nothing, for everything is made up of nothing. So what does that mean?” “I don’t know.” “That you are made up of everything, and everything is made up of you, as well. You said that you are aware of the separation between your chemical self and your conscious self, but if you aren’t sure of where chemicals nor your conscious came from, couldn’t they have came from the same place?” “But, then why isn’t there a basic chemical makeup from my conscious. Why isn’t there a different chemical for sadness, and happiness?” “You are asking the wrong question. There is not, and does not need to be a reason for everything.” “How? Then.” “I can not answer that question. You look at me as a being, sitting at a workshop, creating all of these things. I am not that. What am I?” “The concept of creation.” “Not the creator.” (This isn't the whole thing, but it's all I'm posting here.) |

Re: A Talk With God
What are these responses...
This was not something I wrote for the sake of literature, this is an actual conversation I had with "God"... > Quotation marks because i'm "Atheist"... > Quotation marks because that's a very vague and basic term for my religious beliefs. EDIT: Oh hey, I'm on this account. I'm midnghtraver, for those of you who don't pay attention to the music forum. |

Re: A Talk With God
I was always under the impression that FFR had an open-minded community, but the more I venture outside of the music forum, the more you all prove me wrong.

Re: A Talk With God
I think the problem here is that everyone is open minded.

As far as I can tell this is a conversation with your self.

I think the substance you're thinking of is DMT.

Re: A Talk With God
So you said you were Atheist? This is intriguing to say the least...Very, very odd but I'll just resign myself to the fact that perhaps you really did have a conversation with "God" and I'll be O.K. with it. Although, I'm not so sure what you were talking to was "God" himself but rather another ...being(?)
I'm very spiritual, NOT religious..I'd know nothing of this, I'm shocked you've had such an experience but I don't doubt the fact that it's actually happened. I've heard of such things before and honestly they make me question a few things all the time. Like..how'd this go down? Were you just sitting there and a voice just started talking to you? Orrr like, did you initiate conversation with someone you don't think actually exists? |

Re: A Talk With God
...None of those things.
As it says, God, to me, represents the concept of creation, so this was a conversation I invented to help me figure out/explain my experience understanding the world around me and "how things came to be this way." I'm not Atheist, that's just the best way of explaining my religious beliefs with a vague category. |

Also, anyone that doesn't believe in God automatically falls into that "Atheist" category, that's what an Atheist is, one that doesn't believe in God. Noun: The theory or belief that God does not exist. Last edited by Spoiled_Milk; 04-13-2013 at 04:24 AM.. |

Re: A Talk With God
If I don't believe in God, and to me, god is a concept. Who was I having a conversation with?
If I heard God's "voice" in my head, I'm not religious, I'm a damn schizophrenic. And I know what Atheist means, that's why I used that term. However, Atheist comes with a connotation that I don't perfectly fit into. |
