Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Has anything been figured out at all by anyone in charge as to why the Velocity engine is laggin so much, or how it might be fixed, and why it only seems to be for certain people? I probably sound like a broken record, but I want to play this game whilst I have some free time, but I'm currently left to choose between lagging to death, playing a shitty engine that is missing a crucial feature I need to play, or playing on an engine that ****s up my timing.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Nice Flipsta You got this.
I have my own tip for those nasty trills (134134) for Press Start. I hit the left arrow and then the up/right at the same time as a jump.. Works almost every time for me though on the last one I always manage to get 1 good or 1 miss because I know I'm hitting something wrong + Nerves. For the wall, about mid-way, slow down your jump trill just a frame or two when it transitions. It's very hard to do sadly .. atleast for me but I noticed that was how I was able to AAA it a few times. I just have a hard time hitting the wall correctly in the beginning. Just some tips on how I got a 0-0-1-1 run.. though I haven't tried again. Also playing the song about 5 times, then switching to mirror + repeat, helps you stop getting bad habits and mind blocks. Imo this is not a file you can keep replaying in consistency at all.. Your PA is all over the place each run, atleast for me. I can get a 24 good run then a 4 good run, etc... I think many people can AAA this file if they keep trying. Grats to Powerfull for being the first to do so. My 4-0-0-2 is already at 11th , soo many good players in D5. <3 Getting past this next round will be very very hard. ;=; |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
If the lag doesn't get fixed and Dossar gets eliminated this round, that would be really entertaining to see haha.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
If the lag doesn't get fixed soon, I think it would be fair to extend the round a couple days until it gets fixed.

If an emergency hi19 file gets used for any round, I'd rage so hard. Just sayin'

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Also, is it me, or are the forums loading strangely? (Strangely as in slowly, but bearable) Maybe there is a related problem between the two?

Annoying that it's so elusive, but thanks for the answer. I hope something is found soon!

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Thanks colt! And I totally agree with you that this song is mindblock fest. For those 134134 trills, I just treat them like jumps too, but always try to grace it out at the end because the frames seem to be further apart. I usually get 1 good or AAA there all the time.
I figured out the wall and can only do it on mirror, but the wrong hits gives me like 15+ goods. My problem is derping on the minijacks every fuccen where, but let's hope I eliminate that.

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
I said this before, but FFR ain't right in the head.
PS: Do hope this strangeness fixes before long. Losing due to technical issues is just a no go in my book. |

Re: 7th Official FFR Tournament
Oh by the way I've received requests for isolations of the D4 and D5 files, so I'll get to those soon -- watching a movie in a few minutes.
