Dark Mode gets me more "Perfect" hits...
...I think it's because when I can see the arrows there's some psychological fear that makes me think "don't wait for it to be right on the arrow or else you might miss it altogether - hit it early!" However, without the arrows it's just me and the rhythm, and so there's nothing to put me off or make me feel uncertain. Does anyone else find this?

Dark mode, meaning you can't see the receptor arrows. And it doesn't really affect me because I look around the middle of the screen when I play, anyway.

You CAN see the arrows on dark and I will prove it.
-- Actually it turned out I had lame graphics, on 16-bit you can see faint squares around the arrow image. |

Okay, I'll try a song I can complete with and without Dark Mode and see what happens...stay tuned...
Final Fantasy VII Battle FF7: Dark off Perfect: 547 Good: 177 Average: 30 Miss: 75 Boo: 112 Max Combo: 84 FF7: Dark on Perfect: 535 Good: 164 Average: 47 Miss: 81 Boo: 119 Max Combo: 95 Well, that's odd: I seem to do better in terms of avoiding missed notes with dark mode off, but I got a better combo with dark mode on. Hmm... |

At that level of skill you can see yourself improve every single time you play a song, so I think that it's just all in your head.

It's an interesting thing to not have the receptors...I do better with them because if I cant see them, I don't know exactly where they are, and I get more greats than perfs.

Actually, I look at the bottom of the screen to see an arrow when it comes out. I can memorize where they are in the order they come out, and thus more preparation.
