Re: Wtf do u even DO?
I currently work as a RN for a pain management clinic. I am still in college because I still want to fulfil my dream of getting a CS degree and creating my own business with some friends of mine. I only went for a RN as a back up plan in case my future business fails (which I highly doubt but we'll see).

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
Right now, just some random ass librarian tech guy. Was going for Graphics, but I have no idea if I want to keep going with that and I'm sort of stuck in limbo land with a random associated degree.

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
I'm an Active Duty Army Medic because I had ideals. They're gone now and I realise I just made a really dumb decision in the end. Whoops.

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
Not since I was a little kid or anything, but pretty much as soon as I went to college and decided to do engineering.
And hey, pretty much every month they're celebrating forty and forty-five year service awards. I even got to go to a party for a lady who's worked there for sixty years. --Guido |

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
Mathematics tutor/instructor for the last few months. I had second thoughts on getting into the teaching field (mainly because I don't want to move very far to find work) and I want to move out and get my own place asap so any entry-level job looks attractive to me now.
Also about the Halliburton thing, I have mixed feelings on working for a war-profiteering company but a job is a job right? Unless this is not at all the same Halliburton company rofl then oops Last edited by Dynam0; 04-17-2014 at 12:28 AM.. |

Been working full time as a software tester. I think it has been about 6 months now. Loving it so far.

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
Isn't that a bit cheap?
I charge 50 euros an hour for the same general group of students. |

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
It is really cheap but it isn't 1 on 1 tutoring, (it's a franchise learning center deal). Typically I work with 2-3 kids at a time but there are times when it's 1 on 1 so yes, extremely affordable for the amount of attention/guidance the student gets imo. Also I live in a small town (~50k people) so our center charges considerably less compared to others in bigger cities. This also means I make very little money though

I work as a full stack web developer for a local design firm. Finishing up my last semester of college as well at which point the company I'm at is taking me on full time.

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
I work in the backroom of Walmart. I unload the damn trucks. I pull stuff to the floor and then I go do other people's jobs because we get done way faster than most of the stores in the northwest.
That said, I have some damn good perks. I get to listen to music the whole day and I very rarely deal with any human being other than the other idiots who work at the same place. For someone like me it's not the worst gig imaginable. |

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
I currently work as a Linux Engineer for a major datacenter. Previously I was working as a Network Admin/Sys Admin for multiple health clinics around our valley. I'm pretty stoked to finally have gotten the skill set to enter the Linux world.
I chose IT because, I dropped out of college and a few years later I wasn't able to go back. My passion to learn steered in the IT realm vs. the classroom and has kept me happy and challenged since then. I simply love technology.

Re: Wtf do u even DO?
Student, hopefully finishing at this school in December. Working part time at Game Stop making next to nothing, but at least I'm treated decently at this job so... you win some you lose some.

After Job Corps, I landed a very lucky job at Academy Mortgage from which lasted about 3 1/2 years. From there I learned everything. Afterwards, I fell into the consulting side of things. This allowed me to soak up many different scenarios, environments, implementations, etc. with different client needs. It was a lot of fun but, I was tired of driving all over the place. There's the quick and skinny.
